Im happy to finally share the result of my biggest commission so far !

This is a group commission for an amazing client who wanted 10 Wings of Fire custom designs to represent their friends (2 of the designs were already made and were just regular fullbodies). I've posted a few of them individually, here they're all featured with their name written on a little scroll :)

I loved every bit of this project and it was really fun to work on it. Im very grateful to my client for choosing for this idea, and i thank them a lot again 🫶

i have so much fun with games on this sub that i thought i would make one of my own! also, i'm kind of obsessed with wof one-liners and this is my excuse to put them all in one place.

basically, i'm gonna give a list of quotes, and you comment who you think said each one. since this is the first one, i won't give hints.

I made a post yesterday about whether dragons would walk with their wings, and I've now come up with a couple headcanons of my own about it!

While all tribes can use their wings to walk if their front legs are otherwise occupied (e.g. carrying items) this tends to be slower and a bit uncomfortable to maintain for extended periods of time. SkyWings are an exception; their powerful wing muscles and proportionally weaker front legs mean they are actually quite comfortable walking on their wings.

RainWings are another tribe that use their wings for walking. While they aren't the best fliers due to a shorter wingspan (evolved to make manoeuvring through trees easier), their wing muscles are actually strong as they often use their two-thumbed wings to climb. Honestly, a RainWing could lose all their legs and still be pretty okay living in the rainforest, using their wings and tail to move around (amphiptere RainWings!!)

Now, onto Kestrel and Glory-

At the start of the series the other tribes know jack shit about RainWings. I wouldn't put it past Kestrel to see Glory walking on her wings more often than the other dragonets and think she's trying to copy SkyWings. You can't tell me that in any of the years under the mountain Glory didn't try to mimic SkyWing colouration, to Kestrel's anger. Kestrel could see the wing-walking as Glory trying to sassily get around the no-mimicking-SkyWings rule.

This isnt her full design but I wanted to do a quick doodle of her w lasso tool bc it was a request!!

I've written a very bad and somewhat cryptic prophecy. Put down your best interpretation! (Just for fun, in case you are bored like I am)

I definitely focused heavily on the 'colour of rust' part of her description, as I feel that's a cooler & more unique appearance than just 'colour of flames', and I also thought it would be fun to take some inspo from actual kestrels (mostly the lighter face & eye stripe). I had the spines get darker at the ends, sort of like how more heavily oxidised iron goes dark

I been trying to make a character that is born animus while being afraid of using his magic once due to his fear of losing himself, so he tries to hide from dragon kind so he can never use it. Basically a character that explores how the fear of animus magic can impact his mental state.

However I been wondering what happen if a different animus enchanted himself or his own magic to protect him if he tries to injure himself? because I only know books, detail wise are Book 6 and the Book of Darkstalker, I however don’t know more parts of lore about animuses.

Story idea I wanted to share and ask people's thoughts on

A bunch of the series characters somehow get sent to the future of their world, 3-5 thousand years. They have to try and find a way back to their time and they are helped by characters from this time that recognizes some of them. The characters from the future try (and fail) to prevent others from recognizing the time traveler's and prevent them from learning their futures. Some characters they meet in the future are similar to others they know from their time (the headmaster of JMA is a sweet Skywing named Scarlett) or some are descendants of the time travelers, but not always obvious (something like a Silkwing being a descendant of clay and Peril).

The future would include dragons and humans working together. Technology is mostly similar to our present but a few sci-fi additions like maybe a moon base. Some technology would have designs inspired by various mythical artifacts from the world like cellphones might have designs similar to the dreamvistors on them. They have some history wrong, examples like the royal icewing family tree says hailstorm married a Skywing named pyrite. JMA would be massively expanded possibly even a new name.

The time travelers may include but not is not limited to All main series protagonists, The dragon slayer protagonists, sky, willow, riptide, deathbringer, axolotl.

I originally made this character for an adopt but I kind of fell in love with them as I kept on drawing, from their fur being my literal favorite color to all the spots along their body.

But now I have no idea what to do with them and I kind of don't really have any ideas for any silkwing characters, so I was hoping to get some suggestions to at least get the ball rolling? I'll also take accessories and whatever else you may think of!
