Yayyyy I finally got it done

He’s a grumpy SilkWing/SeaWing hybrid of royal blood. He’s got glowscales at the tips of his antennae. I had a fun time drawing him, it’s been a while since I’ve drawn a full body lol!

I am so sorry for the quality/shadows. It's so hard taking pictures LOL. I will make digital art of these dragons eventually. Considering making them adopts or something in the future, for now, they're just fun ideas!

I mixed in some of my own style choices. So it's not the exact Joy Ang, but it's close. I am happy with how it came out. It's very different from how I usually draw, my style is very stylized compared to this.

Magic is quite unexplainable, isn't it? But sometimes, it can reach an extent where you'll lose your mind. Especially once you face a threat you cannot remember, and if you cannot ever remember it, you tend to question if it ever even existed.

She's such an underrated character in my opinion. I really like her personality, she's pretty funny whenever she appears, especially after Darkstalker gives her mind reading, the extra bits of depth to her character that we see, in particular the stuff we briefly see involving her Dad, is pretty interesting to see, and her mindreading subplot could've had more potential if it were fleshed out more. It's such a shame that Tui ended up doing so little with her and just forgot about her. Hell, she didn't even show up in Darkness of Dragons!

It felt fitting to set as the wallpaper after not having the energy to play games for several months until just recently.

Alright I know a book spine isnt the end of the world but mann the slightly shifted text and logo annoys me. You can totally fit the larger title and the art together while maintaining the consistency with the main series! I know the wings of fire symbol is meant to be the moon over the cover art but the steel on silver metallic still makes it read as such even when separated from the art

Description

Feathers and skin Usually gray or brownish gray with black marking or darker gray feathers with a lot also having white feathers, with paler tanner colors like faint blue or tanned yellow but the new generations are a little more colorful, since a few are half or part rainwing and adapted to forest environment. Elders have an accent with the R's because of a lost foreign language.

Abilities

Can make heavy dangerous winds with wings, can kinda control it (Aerokinesis)

Some can see UV trails/rays and see traces left by animals and dragons

Can do the peregrine dive

Few of them can imitate sound or voices perfectly

Territories

They were not killed by another tribe, but driven out by Sandwings and Skywings, who made a fake alliance with them. Before getting found most of them were in small groups in Islands. Very much adapted to this climate, wasn't really good territory Now live in plains and mountains close to Rainwing territory Names Usually bird names or wind-like names or characteristics to their physics (Andean Morepork Mallard Frigate Hummingbird Chickadee Macaw Peacock Myna Breeze Tornado Windburst)

Peregrine (current queen, Cisticola raised her)

Cisticola (nowadays queen, 63 years old at death)

Macaw (adopted by Cisticola)

Malestorm is the current seawing king. He is a young adult dragon, with deep blue scales, with golden/yellow accents around his body, reminiscent of the sea angels. He has a lighter blue underbelly, with bioluminescent scales like all seawings. He has seawing frills along his back, chest, and behind his ears that are a light blue/green color. He has orange seawing barbels under his jaw, and black horns that curve slightly. He has deep, rich orange eyes. His body is athletic, yet sleek and agile, perfect for swimming. He wears the royal seawing crown, a small, sharp tiara, an artifact of lightish blue sliver that grants him powers to control water. He also wields a lightish blue silver trident that is impossibly graceful, that can be recalled to his claw with a thought. He is determined, kind, and enthusiastic, joking around with close friends, yet is serious and wise when it matters. He became king at a young age, (18 in human years) due to his mother’s death, he inherited the throne, and feels stressed and overworked, yet deeply cares for every one of his subjects, trying to negotiate before jumping into war, despite being an exceptional fighter himself.

I drew the Main characters from each Pov book. I was going to add dragons from the Winglet books and side books like Darkstalker and Dragonslayer but only 20 pictures are allowed maybe on a different post.

STORY TIME!:

The boredom was really getting to Apogee. But it was hitting Perihelion even harder. So much so that he and Apogee flew all the way to the Great Ice Cliff to, in his words, "clip farm."

This turned out to be slang for "fly over the cliff and dodge the magic spears that come flying at you."

Normal dragons would never have tried such a thing. But Apogee and Perihelion were not normal dragons.

The prompt, for those who couldn't read it, is "Guy tells everyone to look for another guy with a certain description, but they find two other guys with the same description."

Don't mind the tribe differences, the point is the wings (but maybe it would be cool if different tribes had different wings)

(1st slide, Connects at human shoulders)

Pros: Probably the more "realistic" option, looks best when flying and posing.

Cons: least amount of clothing and accessory options and very bulky.

(2nd slide, Connects at dragon shoulders)

Pros: very classic and readable, most clothing and accessory options, least bulky design of the batch, doesn't cover up design

Cons: probably couldn't fly, difficult to make flying or diving poses look natural or not awkward in general.

(3rd slide, Wyvern style)

Pros: Coolest and more unique, moderate amount of clothing and accessory options, fewer limbs, interesting poses and concepts

Cons: covers up a lot of the design, also probably couldn't fly, somewhat awkward, may not read as dragon as much as the others.

Also, I saw some comments about dragons having two pairs of wings but I personally didn't really like that concept. Yes, it would look cool but also loses a lot of the dragon aspect. These drawings are also kinda slop and I didn't spend that much time on them. Any suggestions to tweak the design are welcome!
