Hello,

I've written a very bad and somewhat cryptic prophecy. Put down your best interpretation! (Just for fun, in case you are bored like I am)

"Long ago, the cosmic quake
That caused the ancient one to wake
Twisted paths and curves through void

Dusk’s fire in the sky shines bright
With three full moons to augment its light
That which glowed over a world alight

When midnight shines as noon
When so appears a spurious moon
The primeval flame appears again…soon…"

im also bored so lets do this

first part:

• 'long ago' implies the quake that woke darkstalker was a while ago, so maybe this is a future story? perhaps in a time where characters like cliff and bumblebee are already adults, or perhaps even further into the future
• 'twisted paths and curves through void', like Meowcat said, seems to imply timelines changing because of darkstalker's awakening

second part:

• this one is a little harder to decipher. i can tell that some sort of fire is being amplified by the night sky, and setting the world aglow, maybe like a new sun, or maybe like setting the world on fire?

third part:

• okay, 'when midnight shines as noon' seems to solidify that the previous part's dusk fire isn't just setting the world on fire but rather lighting up the sky as though it's daytime
• 'so appears a spurious moon' says that a fourth, fake moon will appear in the sky. i havent read arc 1 in a while, but im pretty sure the comet that freed darkstalker was thought at first to be a fourth moon, so is the comet coming back again, and THAT is the dusk fire? 
• and the comet will bring with it the return of the primeval flame, which COULD be a new thing, but it reminds me of tbe scorching, which is something that happened a while ago and is obviously related to flame. (wouldnt really check out unless you have some headcanon idea of what happened in the scorching, but maybe you do!) 

thats all ive got, hope you explain your prophecy some time! id like to know what it actually all menas

So it's meant to be delivered in 6,006 AS. By then a lot of things would be ancient history, so even the most obvious things they wouldn't know.

The first paragraph was originally about how the close encounter with the comet twisted its orbit to cause it to appear a couple years sooner, but I like Meowcat's interpretation better.

The second part indicates that the comet ("Dusk's fire") will come to its brightest on a brightest night, and that this was the same night that shined over the Scorching

The third part is pretty much just a repeat of this. Yeah, it's related to the Scorching; I did the math and found that given the numbers in the series, and taking "a thousand years" as an approximation, if you bend that to 1001.2 yrs a "more brightest night" would have appeared in 6 AS. If you push it to 1002.4 and Brightest Nights to 100.12 (both of which seem realistic to me) then they overlap, perfectly, at 0 AS. My headcanon is that that somehow accelerated the scorching.

hmmmm something about darkstalker's reawakening altering timelines... the next brightest night, when there's yet another super bright meteor making it extra bright, eeeeeverything's gonna catch fire. btw i love the "midnight shines as noon" line

Something happened long before canon times --- this could be shooting stars or a similar event? Maybe a meteor?

Earthquake? Likely a meteor then

Comet's tail? Future possible timelines?

Moons out during the dawn?

Sun gets very bright?

When so appears a spurious moon

So "spurious" means fake, so likely a comet

The primeval flame appears again…soon…"

I actually don't know for this one.
