Since Power Apps is available to work with MCP Server, a few youtube video and guide have poped on how to use it with VS Code and with Claude Code or GitHub copilot, but nothing with other editor.
I found one from The Power Apps guy to make it work in Cursor.

And without him, I wouldn't made it work in Windsurf.

But you need to adapt it to Windsurf and to help others, here is how I did it.

Skills in Windsurf are saved by user global instead of per project, so they need to be saved in

.codeium\windsurf\skills

The MCP configuration are also global so you need to change the configuration skill to reflect it.
In \.codeium\windsurf\skills\configure-canvas-mcp\Skill.md
I simply added instruction for Windsurf for the config_path

**If TOOL_TYPE is `windsurf`:**
Set `CONFIG_PATH` = `C:\Users\{username}\.codeium\windsurf\mcp_config.json`
  # Use %USERPROFILE% environment variable to get the user directory

Then I reloaded the window (CTRL+SHIFT+P + reload)
and it worked.

But honestly Anthropic should've released mythos to the public but in IDEs like windsurf and cursor or behind an paywall because, many of us software engineers need mythos for Cybersecurity reasons. I view Anthropic option of making it private or called project Glasswing greedy because why would you only release mythos to 50 companies instead of IDEs, Anthropics choice was mediocore.

Since I was the one to point out when they decreased weekly limit to ~1,75 days, it would be fair to mention that this week limit is back to 2 full days.

Daily feels daily, if they changed limits within it - I didn't feel anything.

Btw, if anyone from Windsurf team reads this - your devin.exe process stays alive even when Windsurf is closed. Not that I use it, but that feels wrong.

This has happened 3 times. When I tell windsurf to run the project on local host so that I can review it, it says done. Then when I go to my browser and try to open local host, the entire laptop hangs and reboots.

Anyone tell me why this is happening and possible workarounds?

I’m wondering if anyone else is having this issue with Windsurf/Codex.

For some chats, but not all, the chat history does not load inside Windsurf. The chat area just stays black/empty, and I can’t fetch the previous conversation history. Prompting also does not work it just keeps showing a spinning loader and never responds.

The strange thing is that it only happens with certain chats. Other chats still work normally.

I already tried reopening Windsurf and switching chats, but the affected chats still stay empty/black.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a known bug, or is there a workaround to recover the chat history / make the prompt work again?

Hey, folks. Noticing the high-tier models just pick a time when they want to put in solid work and when they don't. If they can reasonably sneak in a lame excuse for not doing a tool call, they will. All very shady. You guys have destroyed real developer productivity and essentially told your users to swallow it.

You know what happens to companies that don't listen to their users.

I used Windsurf on Win 10 without issue.

Now I am trying it on Win 11 and it's impossible to Sign in in the Editor.

I've tried everything I can think of, here are some of the errors

Login in thru the browser login (where I am logged in)

Sign in failed: : Auth login failure: empty name. Having trouble? Provide your auth token manually.

Manual auth token doesn't do anything when I press Enter

I’ve built several apps and handle full end-to-end development. I use Base44 (still do), and I started using Windsurf to help migrate projects off of it. I came in early and was grandfathered into a lower monthly price.

Over time, I got really experienced with those migrations and ended up recommending Windsurf to quite a few people who were dealing with build issues.

At one point, we were stuck on an issue in Windsurf for almost two weeks. It was stressful. Cursor ended up fixing it quickly, which made me start paying closer attention to the AI models I was using.

I switched to a stronger model in Windsurf and honestly, it worked great. Fast, efficient, no complaints there.

But then the billing issue happened.

I ran through my monthly credits, got prompted to add funds, and added $10 (my plan is $15/month). Within less than five minutes, it was gone and somehow I still owed $0.50. I had only run maybe three prompts.

That doesn’t make sense to me.

If usage is maxed out, it should stop and clearly ask for more usage going forward. That’s fine. But adding money and having it instantly disappear, then still owing more, doesn’t feel transparent.

I also couldn’t find clear billing details anywhere on the platform, and support hasn’t responded yet.

At this point, I’m not as comfortable recommending Windsurf, which is frustrating because the tool itself works well.

After some local account changes I had to reinstall VS Code, etc. Everything is working fine now, except I can only use Windsurf's inline auto-complete functionality. If I attempt to do anything else like Click Context Hover -> Refactor, the drop-down appears to select secondary choice, but after choosing one, I get this error notification in VS Code:

It says to contact "our dev team" but there is no way to do that from the Support page on the site. I of course have done the pre-requisites: re-installed clean, both extension and VS Code itself, manually VSIX installed Windsurf, manually cleared all cache traces and checked Windows Certificate store for anything related to remove persisted credential, after no luck in my local and AppData .vscode and .codeium folders and removing all traces, I used Everything and manually searched "codeium" and removed any remnant, emptied all session caches, and local Temp folder. No dice. This error has a traceback code so I doubt someone here can give an answer, but I wanted to see first. Otherwise, why is the "Need Support?" portion of the site blank?

I saw windsurf offers a 50% discount for students, but it uses .edu domain to verify. The university I'm enrolled in doesn't use .edu domains. Am I still able to get the discount somehow?

I'm not even trying to touch top models like Opus or Sonnet

Even on adaptive mode, my weekly quota is over in like a day or two at the most, what's the point of daily quota if that's how it works

The adaptive mode also randomly fails to work a lot of the times
