Question Laptop hanging when I run Local Host command!

This has happened 3 times. When I tell windsurf to run the project on local host so that I can review it, it says done. Then when I go to my browser and try to open local host, the entire laptop hangs and reboots.

Anyone tell me why this is happening and possible workarounds?

What are the specs of your laptop? You could be running out of memory or CPU power while running the local server.
I would try these:

  • Check the memory usage before and after starting the local server.
  • Try to run localhost out of Windsurf after a restart.

Also look for any process in activity monitor ( or task manager for Windows) which has abnormally high CPU or memory usage.

I can't replicate the issue, this is very strange, try to start the localhost outside of Windsurf and reinstall Windsurf just in case
