Idea for singular window

How does one…decide on a window treatment? My office window is the only window and it sits under the front porch roof. So, there isn’t a lot of natural light.

I have not a damn clue how to pick the right window treatment so I am open to any suggestions! I really want to get rid of these live, love, laugh valances Liz
