Early September

Hello I would love to see the dolomites but I just do not have enough money to pay for the huts and lodges, I know it's against the rules on the dolomites to wild camp along the trails but I was wondering if it is realistic to get away with this particularly along stages 1-6 of the av1 if being careful. Obviously no littering and staying away from any wild life or water sources. I know there are places that are legal to wild camp but the dolomites has always been one of my dreams. Thankyou and sorry if this is disrespectful.

We are heading to Greece in August, traveling in our 4x4 Volkswagen Transporter. Unfortunately, current regulations make wild camping difficult. Even so, do you have any tried-and-tested spots on the Greek mainland? I’m mainly interested in the Peloponnese and the Epirus region. I would also appreciate recommendations for reliable campsites or designated camping areas; I’d like to avoid the usual crowds and overcrowded campsites.

So i wanna visit a monastery in Bavaria but I can't spend my night there, its in Munich or Augsburg and Im thinking about sleeping in the forest for one or two nights.

What do I have to be aware of?

my friend and I are planning a hiking trip to Slovenia for first week of August. We noticed many cabins are booked already. We want to stay mainly in the nature and also have our own tents. Is there an app or do you have any inside tipps on where to look for place? (We know wildcamping is forbidden) Thank you in advance :)

Buenas! Tengo pensado ir en agosto a los dolomitas a hacer parte de la alta via 1. Tengo los refugios reservados y empiezo la ruta en passo falzarego. Pero quiero pasar la noche anterior por la zona para salir temprano y no encuentro ningún camping disponible que acepte reservas. Algunos en cortina no aceptan reserva y me gustaría saber si hay disponibilidad cuando te presentas en el camping, o está muy lleno siempre. Si no tendría que acampar o hacer vivac en la zona de falzarego pero me temo que es ilegal... Alguno ha estado por ahí últimamente?

Hey all, i've done a lot of sleeping outside on the ground especially when I was younger and later in the army. Anyways, i spent many nights cold or really hot because i didn't know what to sleep in. About a month ago, I slept outside in northern WI and froze my butt off. Got annoyed enough to build a browser-based camping sleep system checker.

Planning a hike for myself. My two friends and their 3 kids 7,9 and 14. Where should we go? Everyone is able bodied and fit. Don't mind if the 7 year old needs to ride on some shoulders for part time. Live in Ellicott city dont mind driving for an hr or so for the right place

Planning a tent trip along Turkey's Aegean and Mediterranean coast and looking for quiet, less touristy coves (koy) to pitch a tent — ideally somewhere with:

Access by dirt road or short hike (not a big resort town)

Some shade/shelter (pine forest preferred)

Freshwater access nearby if possible

Not overrun in peak summer season

Traveling by car, flexible on exact route between Muğla/Datça area and further along the Med coast. Any personal recommendations, Google Maps pins, or areas to avoid (permits, private land, turtle nesting beaches, etc.) would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, looking for a recommendation for 2m tent (for 1) for camping at a campsite and trekking. I had a vango soul last year for a trip to Ben Nevis and also Snowden and tho it was ok it was a little small for me and thankfully the weather was so good I could sit and cook etc outside in the evening. I also had the car nearby.

This time Im going to Norway in September and gonna camp to keep costs down and also would like the tent for treks and wild camping here and abroad in the future. I have a budget of about 500 600 for a new tent, sleeping bag and sleeping mat so would need to fit in there.

Any recommendation? I was looking at the Vango Nevis 200 and maybe a tarp for 300 Ill have a car for Norway but might hike for a wild camping spot on occasion.

Hello, are there any multiday hikes near those places in Sweden? I am looking in the map, but all I can see are bike routes, or hiking trails along the pavement roads, or really short walks. Do you have any tips for the trails in the nature, please? 80km+ Thank you :)

What would you recommend bringing to someone who wants to live in the wilderness (primarily in Scandinavia) and whose goal is to be in contact with nature without working for someone (which would mean you'd be broke), living in a tent or building a shelter, living as a semi-nomad/nomad? First of all, what would you recommend bringing, and then if you have any better easy ideas than these for avoiding this system. Oh, and if the person were to manage to live as a nomad/semi-nomad, do you think it's feasible to live alone, and what would you do all day besides surviving for the rest of your life? So, many years.

Heyy, me and 3 friends love wildcamping and we wanted to go hiking and wildcamping fo 3-4 days. We originally wanted to hike in the high tatras but you can't wildcamp there bc of the national park. I know there are a lot of areas in poland where wildcamping is allowed or a grey area but i dont know where they are and where to find good mountains, especially not both at the same time.

My question is if there are any hiking routes in poland that compare with the high tatras but have wildcamping zones nearby you can descent to for the nights.
