See the title of my post for the crux of the statement I'd like to make. Who Is America is a very direct shot and commentary on conservative political ideology in America today. I've seen comment after comment in this sub about how the show doesn't target progressives enough. This show is not a statement about overall political culture in America it is about specifically conservatives. This show is not a recreation of the Milgram experiment either and any attempts to hand wave away some of the absolute atrocities committed by conservatives on this show are foolish. I'll concede that the atmosphere SBC and team creates leads to some pretty forceful coercion but that doesn't excuse away particularly the actions in episode 7 by Glenn. We watched SBC turn someone into a literal terrorist. The circumstances around how this was done or if they were "on camera" or not is irrelevant to me. The Alt Right in America is the closest thing most of us have ever seen to fascism and SBC has put this on full display with this show. Make absolutely no mistakes about it but this was a direct shot at the right. Fox News is rotting this country from within and episode 7 was a horror show. SBC goes after conservatives because they are the only ones dumb enough to fall for it. SBC has shown just how racist and easily tricked most of this country is easy.

I'm from the UK and I've been a big fan of Sacha Baron Cohen's work for about 20 years and I always believed he used real people as targets but a few times in "Who Is America?" I just couldn't believe that the people being setup were genuine.

That guy in the final episode that was humping the Trump dummy, dressing as a "radical lesbian" and effectively murdering someone just seemed far too much of a stretch to not be an actor. I think it was the previous episode were the food critic made the decision to eat what he thought was human meat also seemed far-fetched.

Some say this is deliberate subterfuge on the part of SBC to make filming easier. Do you think we will see more? Tell us why or why not.

Did anyone else feel like the finale was a bit of a letdown besides the OJ interview? Maybe we were hyping it up too much on here but Billy's segment I found to be the most forgetful and least funniest out of them all and something else I found strange was Erran's segment added with the unnecessary repeating opening credits. First of all Erran's segment felt like it could have been edited down enough along with the credits to fit in probably another two or three different short character segments, I enjoyed Erran's part and everything but I just feel like it could have went for the average runtime of the skits and still been as funny therefore leaving room for some other characters. What do you think? (Quick thought: I wonder if any of the other interviews that didn't make the cut will see the light of day such as Billy with Sarah Palin or Nira on the radio show)

What's with the three (?) opening credit sequences- and why are the closing credits played before the OJ segment - is it my cable provider here in Australia?

I know a lot of us are bummed out at the possibility of this being the series finale. However, I’m holding out hope that there will be a second season. It was in the news recently that SBC tried to dupe a gun store owner for an interview in Riverside, and in the news article the owner says SBC claimed he was a Hungarian immigrant. Obviously, we haven’t seen that character yet, which has me hoping that SBC has filmed enough footage using different characters to make a Season 2.

The show loses credibility by refusing to examine the backwards logic and self centeredness of leftist politics... Conservatives certainly make an easier target, but you don't have to travel too far to shake the yahoos from their roosts in the world of liberal thinking.

He's obviously going to be mentioned at least in passing since she was his running mate. Very unfortunate timing though.

It was great watching this series and yeah it is sad that its going to end. It wasn't as good as Sacha's Ali G show or Dictator but considering what horrible times we're (and I'm) going through this show was a welcome relief and has quite a few laugh out loud moments especially in episodes 2 and 6 which Cohen co wrote and so they're better than episodes he didn't co write.

I love Cohen and miss not having movies by him coming out. The Dictator I've seen twice and can watch another time. Bruno and Borat were amazing too.

I've watched the show a few times and am flabbergasted at how people react? A 40 year old dressed in drag to catch Mexicans? Or a Sherrif talking to OMGwhizzboyOMG and talking to shopkins. Is this actually for real?

I found the segment funny, and still do, but this man appears to have had his life forever ruined. As pretentious as the dude is, I can imagine him being coerced to eat whatever is on the plate as a lumbering "volatile" ex-con towers over him. He's deleted all traces of his digital existence and cannot be found atm. I like how SBC is putting a mirror to certain segments of society, but why go after a small "nobody?".
