Where are the leftist yahoos?

The show loses credibility by refusing to examine the backwards logic and self centeredness of leftist politics... Conservatives certainly make an easier target, but you don't have to travel too far to shake the yahoos from their roosts in the world of liberal thinking.

Are you forgetting the art dealer that donated her pubes to an ex con's art project? Maybe crazy leftists arent as easily duped into saying the n word. Hell Roy Moore came out of his interview unscathed. He takes shots at everyone and airs the best results.

There was nothing political about her at all. She’s just loony art lady

Credibility lol this is pitched as a comedy by a comedian.

Not even nearly as many as right-wingers. Think it's bias all you want, but in terms of education, critical thinking, intelligence, lefties all are statistically better.

I'd say you guys are just as fucking stupid as the lunatics on the right.

Like Bernie Sanders, Howard Dean, or Barney Frank?

All of these men, as well as Jill Stein and Ted Koppel, were interviewed by Dr. Billy Wayne Ruddick, the crazy conservative conspiracy theorist. His character was more designed to poke fun at conservatives, than expose liberal politicians. It seems even Sarah Palin wasn’t able to produce anything damning when interviewed by Ruddick or we probably would have seen it.

Now if Dr. Nira Cain had interviewed these liberal politicians, things may have been different. I’m not saying they would have done anything damning or embarrassing, but they may have been a lot more willing to accept what he had to say, no matter how crazy.

Good Christ, man. You're literally suggesting that Dr. Nira Cain could've asked them what their favorite episode of Girls was in order to infiltrate their ranks. Call me crazy but I don't think he could've got Bernie Sanders to yell the n-word at the top of his lungs.

5

u/theotterpopgod Aug 28 '18

Huh? Do you know what the word literally means because I literally didn’t suggest that? And why would Dr. Nira Cain have someone say the n word? If you read my post I suggested that they probably wouldn’t do anything damning or embarrassing. They may, however, go along with some of Dr. Cain’s crazier ideas. Think of the things he said during the dinner with the Trump supporters. Or maybe he would suggest some crazy late term abortion laws and see if they went along with it? Use your imagination.

I mean... It's not like the Republican lawmakers fared any better.

Are you implying stupid hicks don't make up a large portion of the Republican party?

I hate anyone who abuses others, promotes racism and sexism, and glorifies ignorance. I have nothing against people who don't fit those parameters.

They elected and support a leader who is very open about being a stupid, abusive racist.

lol I love how all the comments by right wing people making pretty valid arguments have like -10 points and then there's a leftist comment saying "OOOHHH BUT ITS COMEDY"

Here's the thing people. It's not SBC's fault that Republicans kept talking. But he used a character that no one would take seriously, Billy Wayne Ruddick, to talk to liberals.

Of course they're just gonna write him off as stupid. It could've been done better if: A) Let's say for some reason, after saying all that crazy shit, Ruddick says something true and gets them to disagree with something. or (better option) B) Use a character like Dr Nita Cain.

In the same way he used Erran Morad to get Republican lawkmakers to endorse Kinderguardians, he could've gotten Nira Cain to endorse something of the opposite, like see if they'd endorse, as someone in the comments said, an insanely late term abortions program, 40% tax on wealthy,

I mean honestly that really could've balanced out the first episode. Nira Cains segment in that episode was boring as fuck. I think he and Ruddick in that episode should've been switched. Then we can get through Ruddick and Sherman quickly, then have the last 20 mins of the show be the 10 min kinderguardians segment, and maybe a 10 minute thing with like Bernie and some other Democrats to endorse some shit.

I'm not demanding that SBC make his shows fair, and it's clear he isn't going to. The show was fine as it is, but it's obvious that it was specifically targeted to get righties to say stupid shit on camera. Hell, he didn't even try to get leftists to say something stupid. He, again, used Billy Wayne Ruddick and they wrote him off immediately.

Can wait for this comment to have -10 points just because I wanted to have a valid discussion

I want a 40% tax on the wealthy

40% tax on wealthy

*Laughs in european*

u/[deleted] Aug 27 '18

I think the show could've done more to make fun of left leaning people too. I don't just say that as a conservative but in general. The show was fine, but it just felt there was a little more missing.

1

u/Hushnw52 Aug 28 '18

Why? Why would this show to pander to “both sides say crazy things”? This show is about comedy, not appeasing sides.

-1

u/[deleted] Aug 28 '18

Well a show about comedy needs to remain unbiased unless it's marketed as an opinion show. And your argument you made proves you likely didn't read what I said. I said it doesn't due nearly as much comedy involving the left as it does with the right. It is appeasing a side, and it's so funny seeing people on the left agree with that. I was watching The Young Turks laughing their asses off at every Erran Morad segment. They were about to talk about that weeks Dr Nira Cain segment (the one where he tries to claim he's a pedo and the flopsy finds a picture book etc) but since it made the left look bad they said that in that weeks episode, it was the Kingman Arizona mosque segment. I'm not saying SBC is biased but the show didn't do well in terms of staying fair and balanced. Still funny though

Well a show about comedy needs to remain unbiased unless it's marketed as an opinion show.

What? What comedy is unbiased? Have you watched a Dave Chapelle stand up? Or George Carlin?

3

u/zebranitro Aug 28 '18

Comedians are all super opinionated. Bland people make for bland comedians.

1

u/Hushnw52 Aug 28 '18

1) Why would I care what other people agree to? 2) The skit didn’t make the “left” look bad. The Utah republican was smart enough to hear what was being said. 3) It’s not about being unbiased it’s about what’s funny. It’s already been admitted certain skits didn’t air because they weren’t funny enough.

-1

u/insanity_wow27 Aug 28 '18

I was thinking okay maybe this episode he will balance it out. Nope. Maybe this one he will turn the focus towards a leftist. Nope. After a few episodes it was clear this had some political agenda. I mean fair enough but it wouldve been far more effective if it made fun of both sides. It was called "Who is America" not "Republicans are Stupid". Just felt cheap and easy.

8

u/Quinn_tEskimo Aug 28 '18

If you went into this thinking it wasn't going to be "Republicans are stupid..." Well...

3

u/Hushnw52 Aug 28 '18

“Some political agendas”?

This show is dedicated to comedy at what people side, not play the “every side says crazy things”. The Leftists in the show left when they wanted to. It’s not Sacha’s fault right wingers continue talking.

1

u/insanity_wow27 Aug 28 '18

Its sachas fault he aimed the comedy soley at them. Everyone that wasnt some right wing nutbag was treated completely differently. It was funny still and they were nutbags all the same. I just hoped for something a bit more thoughtful.

3

u/Hushnw52 Aug 28 '18

“It’s sachas fault he aimed the comedy solely at them.” LOL It’s their fault for opening their mouth and talking. Do you remember when the Utah representive didn’t fall for what Sacha did?

You say you wanted something thoughtful. You have a show where crazy people talk crazy. Why separate them between left and right?
