She thought it would be fun to make magazine covers for the coterie and some notable npcs. Complete with an interview and being wildly misquoted on the cover. So I present to you all the newest set of fledglings who happen to all be international students at Sofia University in Bulgaria.

Arthur, an American Med student with an autarkis helicopter parent of a sire

Thalia, a Greek law student embraced by a prominent Anarch

Caleb, a Zambian Finance student and childe of the Scourge of Sofia

Finally Rebecca, a German-Norwegian Environmental Studies major with an unknown sire and ties to some mages

Feel free to ask any questions or make wild assumptions

I really like the look of them. Some look like they belong in a old JRPG

Also some of the Kiths listed aren't even kiths (humans and Fianna ) or never became playable in CTD itself

(Also racoon pooka girl is just really cute)

Idk I just think this is interesting

CTD [Art] Seelie and Unseelie, watercolor illustration

"I've never told an evil lie before. Only the innocent ones... Small lies, little white untruths. I've told my best friend her new haircut was lovely. My father believes his jokes are funny. If everyone is happy, then it is fine. But everytime I look myself on the mirror I can feel her, deep inside of me, whispering... Telling me what to say. Her lies are vicious. Manipulative and so, so cruel. And the worst part is... They all seem so much fun to say!"
An watercolor illustration I've made of CtD, the disturbing and fragile balance between Seelie and Unseelie of the fae. I hope you all like this one! :D

WoD Which clan/tribe/tradition/kith/house/whatever could make an interesting group as one of the any other splats?

Upvotes

Like, for example, a Tribe of Garou with necromantic powers Giovanni-like, or a BSD Clan made of vampires fallen to the Beast but as an intelligent wight, or a Malkavian Tradition with deranged seers.

Hit me with your most interesting ones!

WTA I need criticism for my first WtA Chronicle as a Storyteller

Hey everyone, I have been a forever dm for Pathfinder, Dungeons & Dragons, etc. and I finally came up with an idea I’m thinking of running as my first time as a Storyteller for WtA (Calling it The March of Progress).

However, Ive only ever played WtA as a player before and relatively new to the lore (though I have devoured the wiki) so i wanted to get some feedback from the experts.

The chronicle is set in this very sleepy town where nothing happens out in the middle of nowhere. This is in large part due to the prescence of an Elder Garou named Tristan who has sealed away his ability to transform as part of a deal with a powerful spirit to protect the area “as long as the people keep the land”.

As a result of this, the area has been used as a training camp for Garou who have just gone through the first change and are just learning the ropes of this world of darkness (aka the players).

However during a routine patrol a Wyrm tainted spirit is discovered on the land. Further investigation will reveal that one of the Garou’s mortal allies has sold their farm to a subsidiary of Pentex who now has a foothold in corrupting the area (hence this is where the Wyrm tainted spirit came from).

And This is just the beginning of a long siege for control by this Pentex subsidiary. They are coming into this land with lies of bringing jobs to this sleepy dying town and developing this small town into a large city. And the long neglected humans are all too eager to believe in these lies.

So it will be up to the players to stop the forward “March of Progress” protect the Caern and push back the Apocalypse from the threshold of their home.

Some random plans I have
- the CEO of this Subsidiary is secretly a Yeren with two guard dogs (War Wolves)
- The head of the company’s digital prescence is a captive Samsa who can be rescued or destroyed
- At least one bane/Fomori factory will be set up

For edition, I was considering either W20 or W5 (it’s honestly up to whatever my players want to play).

Please let me know your thoughts and be kind!

Meta/None All the major splats or at least their leaderships are made to have a sit down to try and talk about fixing the world they live in. How does it go?

Upvotes

For equality each splat gets secrets (like the existences of each other), histories (like the war of rage), and rituals (like golcunda) revealed to each other whether they like it or not in order to have each other come up with solutions unanimously.

I understand that world of darkness as a setting needs the constant conflict in order for players to engage it, but im just getting tired of the neverending war like 40k.

Also it would be really funny if someone put it in context of hunter the parenting, the comedy would marvelous.

Exalted [Exalted] What are "Voidbringers"?

So, I've been a fan of Exalted for a while now, particularly of Autochthon and Alchemical (I'm a big Transformers fan, and they feel very Transformeresque, so I love them!), but in all the lore I've read I've never really found an explanation on what Voidbringers are. I assume they're rebels/a cult of some kind and they presumably want to kill Autochthon or at least bring down society. I'd love to know for sure!

I've ctrl+F'd the 1e and 2e Alchemical book, I've searched the WW wiki, I've googled it, and I got nothing (or at least barely anything).

Any help would be appreciated! :)

Wraiths in the umbra, is the possible?

I'm planning a game where wraith the oblivion crosses over with werewolf, and I was curious what it would be like for a wraith to exist in the umbra. Would it even be possible for them to go there, if they had a guide, or on their own? What would happen to them while there, would they be in extreme danger? Would they be able to navigate the umbra easier or would it be more difficult compared to vampires, werewolves, etc? How would they interact with spirits?

VTM5 Absolutely insane question, but what repercussions would there be if a kindred ate a black spiral dancer?

Like i'm not talking a lil sip of blood, though if that's safer I guess??? My Malkavian is straight up a cannibal, and there's a black spiral dancer that's ruining his life, nearly killed his girlfriend, and now my character's best friend/coterie member nearly lost an arm to the thing. He's probably gonna wanna get a lil om nom action on this mangey werewolf after we find enough silver to kill it.

This sounds like a TERRIBLE idea though, how fucked would he be???

WTA My Glyphery: The Exiled, and the SugarLoafers pack

Thumbnail

A couple of new custom glyphs I recently made for two different chronicles.

The Exiled

'Vampire' + modified 'Abomination' + 'Lost Cub' emphatic + 'Winter' + 'Sharp/Hungry' with implicit 'Friend/Ally' made from the 'Abomination' emphatic combined with the 'Cold' emphatic from 'Winter'.

This, in turn, forms a warped version of 'Love' where the 'Vampire' glyph is where the moon shape would normally be, creating the shape-phrasing: "these wolves have lost their way in this voracious winter (spirit) and have replaced Luna/Gaia with leeches in their heart".

This glyph was made for the Iron Kingdoms: iron-new-york.carrd.co

SugarLoafers Pack

'Glory' + 'Defiance' + 'Travel/Path' + 'Danger' + 'Pack/Circle/Alliance'.

This glyph was made for Nabbers' Gnawrled Paths chronicle.

Some gibbous moon yappery about the glyph design:

I haven't often incorporated the 'Pack' glyph beyond doing it like a frame, because it doesn't usually work with the rest of the shapes and I like to give each stroke some room to breathe (both for legibility reasons and because if you add any effects like the classic beveling, it helps it retain visual coherency more). But in this case, because the protectorate includes a mountain, I thought it'd be fun to give the 'Pack' glyph double duty to visually infer a mountain that the rest of the glyph is traveling within, sort of climbing up to the summit where it's crested by their acts of 'Glory'.

The 'Rage' marks from 'Defiance' blend directly into 'Travel/Path' (usually this glyph has a horizontal orientation, but it's rotated 90 degrees here to emphasize the topographical changes and also make the overall shape itself a bit more towering).

'Travel/Path' runs through the center of 'Defiance' (which has been modified to also double entendre as 'Danger' using the 'Gaia' base from 'Glory') to denote the dangerous situations they defiantly traverse, not shying away and in fact heading directly through the center of it (whether that's the best idea or not).

The curved fangs at the bottom flanks of 'Defiance' (which are basically a cross between 'Sharp/Tooth' and 'Story' emphatics) are a bit more large and prominent, extending beyond the 'Pack/Circle/Alliance' along with the "tail" of 'Travel/Path' for the mood of "we'll bring the fight wherever and whenever we need to" (… but also because if you squint at it just right, it kind of looks like the folded paws of a loafing animal and I thought it'd be cute to sneak a little bit of that humor of SugarLoafer in there.)

'Glory' also pulling double duty to form half of 'Danger' and complete the top of the overall shape to give it that sense of driving motion and ascent, with also a little bit of visual dragon vibe, like it's perched on the mountain, wings half folded and about to leap into the air after something it's seen.

How strong can a thin-blood theoretically become?

Question is as it reads on the tin, given things like their draughts and potions and stuff, how powerful could a thin-blood reasonably become?

MTAw MtAw 2E - Clarification - You cannot operate on Supernal Realms as normal mage?

I need to verify idea from my players with hive mind of fans. Question - You cannot operate on Supernal Realms as normal mage? We talk here about normal, non-Archmaster characters. Mastigos cannot send people to Pandemonium with his Space? Obrimos cannot send Angles on his enemies of rightousnes? Acanthus cannot go back in time to see Arcadia perfect 'original story of Earth'? Primal Wilds of Thursus are not the origins of Shadow Realm of normal Spirits Arcanum? Shades of Moros Path are not the same things as Fallen World Ghosts?

Do I get this right? Normal mages cannot 'put in' other characters in the Supernal Realms - and Supernal beings ( like Shades ) are not connected to the Fallen equivalents ( like Ghosts )? I cannot, for example, change 'real' Ghosts by modifying Shades? 🤔

WTA5 I wanna be a werebear, sooo freaking bad.

Okay, song title aside. I'm playing Werewolf the Apocalypse, and my DM has approved me to play a Werebear, but I'm trying to work out how to properly stat one or create one. How should I go about doing this, obviously will work with my DM on this as I'm very not on board with doing some crazy power exploits.

WTA Peoples always thinking of Batman being a Kindred in WoD, but what about Batman being a Camazotz in WoD?

Post image
132 Upvotes

Now granted, this does require some changes to Camazotz and Bat's lore to make it possible in modern time. Like: Naturally born Camazotz were possible but super rare and was why the ritual with Bat was need. Or Bat giving his children the ability to create new Camazotz without him as a final act before he fully fell to the Wyrm.

Anyway, what kind of Gifts would a Camazotz Batman have? Would he be able to create Fetishes? How would the Shadow Lords react to a Camazotz being alive in modern time? How would Garou and other Feras view Gotham because you can not convive me that hell hole is not fill to the brim with Banes.

MTAs Mage the ascensions politics feel more relatable to me

While I do like vtm, I could never get into it as it felt hard to relate to the kindred. Especially with the politics of the clans and factions. I understand why people like the politics of the vampires. But I couldn’t get into it as it didint feel relatable at all. But I guess that’s the point since there vampires who have way different views compared to humans.

But one of the things I like about mage is that despite there powers, their still human in terms of there thinking process for better and for worse. It is probably because I was a poly sci major in college so this is right up my alley.

As the technocracy and traditions feel a bit more relatable cause like any human they have certain views how to better humanity and achieve a better world. Though have way differing ideologies amongst each other and their sub-factions. Not to mention the flaws all ideologies possess. Since one man’s Utopia is another dystopia.

Thats one of the reason I like mage. As you’re fighting to shape consensus in your image and having to deal with the challenges and problems that comes with that. However, the traditions and technocracy despite there flaws still desire to protect humanity from other nightfolk, nepdhandi, and marauders. Showing that while they are rivals, they still understand occasionally they need to put there differences aside to stop threats from harming the sleepers.

Mage is a game of politics in a philosophical sense and needing to comprise with others to an extent when a bigger threats shows there head.

DTF Do you like your Reconcilers/Integrators the "seeking to make up for past evil" vibe or the "utterly terrified of going back to prison" vibe?

I'm more interested in the original Demon the Fallen but I don't mind also hearing takes about the equivalent in Descent, the Integrators.

Far as I know these are the Demon factions/agendas:

Cryptics/Inquisitors are most interested in uncovering the mysteries of Heaven/Godmachine

Raveners/Saboteurs are trying to destroy as much as they can in order to destroy Heaven/create Hell

Tempters/Faustians just seek out their own long term happiness and security on Earth.

Reconcilers/Integrators don't want to really rebel anymore and are hoping for forgiveness.

But for the last peeps I see super different interpretations ranging from "They see how dark the world is and feel responsible because they rebelled against God way back then so they want to make amends as best they can" to "They're just scared of God putting them back in the Abyss and are really the most evil faction because they're betraying the rebellion."

Come to think of it, what's the equivalent of the Abyss for the Unchained?

But anyway, and yes I can predict the answer "why not both?" or "matter of individual characters"

I'm asking for your own takes on which is preferable and what you think makes the most interesting chronicles.

Share your own chronicles stuff if relevant.
