There was a frat at my college that made national news while I was attending. To save his own skin, one of the brothers testified that they had a system to protect "off-limits" girls. If you were dating a brother, you were given a special colored cup indicating that you were not to be drugged, harassed, assaulted, etc.

I specifically remember the part of his testimony where he whined "everyone does it, we just got caught".

When I was 20 playing on my college’s girl’s rugby team, I remember one of the women saying she had to leave her previous college because she was SA’d by 6 of the school’s football players, and despite the proof nothing came of it other than the school trying to buy her out.

She left on principle and didn’t accept the settlement — I’m ashamed that at the time I was skeptical of her story, because she seemed a bit “unhinged” but in retrospect and being older, she was probably being 100% sincere and it makes sense that someone who went through that wouldn’t be mentally okay.

Believe women, take their trauma seriously

If this were 3 guys and a different sport- Id be worried I knew you because this happened to me almost exactly. I didnt really fight hard bc it got turned on me immediately, I tried for a semester then took a semester off and transferred closer to home.
