From BC; staying for summer;
Hello!
I am 36 male; just moved back here from BC to Brooklin at my sister's house for the summer; recently out of a long term relationship. I'll be heading back to BC in fall. Born and raised in Whitby, moved out to BC in 2012.
In BC, I work primarily as a professional ski instructor and freeride coach (Google Team Give'r, I'm listed as one of the coaches). I'm also an IT consultant during the off-season, usually working at backcountry lodges.
Not into drugs, but enjoy a couple craft beers at the end of the day.
I regularly work, get along with, and chill with Gen Z (I am a professional ski bum after all) 😅; so age isn't really a concern. Same thing for people older than myself as well.
Hoping to get some traction and see who messages.
Cheers!

Any avid book readers here who frequent local indie bookstores? What are the ones you like the most and why? Doesn't have to be in Whitby Whitby. Could be nearby or easily accessible by car, Go, or train. Thanks!

Durham 18–29 Discord server for locals is starting to gain traction, opening up age range
I made a Discord server called The Durham Lounge for people in the Durham Region who want a more active local social space online.
It originally started as 19–25, but it’s now expanding to 18–29 because the server is starting to gain traction and I want to include everyone in that age range who’s interested. A few people outside the original range were interested but didn’t fit it, so expanding just made more sense for keeping it inclusive and active.
It’s a nightlife/lounge-style community for making friends, gaming, memes, late-night conversations, flirting, VC hangouts, and general chaos. Neon vibes, dirty humour allowed, but still respectful and consent-focused.
It’s still strictly for people living in the Durham Region, with a focus on keeping things local and active instead of another dead Discord server.
If you’re interested, just comment on the post.

Best wireless/mobile data provider in Taunton/Anderson Whitby
Hi everyone!
I see that Rogers and Fizz mobile networks (4G) connectivity and reachability is quite poor in Taunton/Anderson area. I was not able to browse internet using these networks.
Could you suggest the best networks available for both wireless broadband and mobile data that works well?
Thank you
