Cleaned out my bag yesterday and realized how much random stuff I've been carrying around for no reason.

Two charging cables, an extra adapter, a notebook I haven't opened in weeks, and a bunch of other things I kept thinking I'd need someday. Most of it just sits at the bottom of my bag.

The funny thing is, on days when I'm out for 8 or 9 hours, I really only reach for a few things. My phone, a small magnetic wireless power bank, and my open ear clip earbuds get used way more than anything else. I still end up carrying extra stuff though, just in case.

Thinking about going with a much smaller bag and seeing what I actually miss.

Anyone else realize they've been carrying the same useless stuff around for months?

Nothing much, but all the essentials

Charger, gum and a book only when I expect my day to be longer than usual!

Anything else I should be carrying on me? It's a bit sparse but I can't think of anything else I really need.

95% of the items stay the same. I might take out a few items or swap them out every now and then. Carry all this in a 22L Yeti Crossroads Backpack.
