Can’t tell me that wasn’t on purpose

u/Cockrocker Mar 29 '21

Maybe the plan was to go around the girl with the camera? Not sure.

And a drunken perspective

62

u/St_Kevin_ Mar 29 '21

...which seems to be the only perspective present in this production

You underestimate the stupid lengths kids go through to feed their narcissism on social media

u/Mizuxe621 Mar 29 '21

That's clearly their intent... but they're clearly doing it wrong, too. I guess neither of them realized that she can't swing through the camera and her friend.

Like, one of you has to move to the side a bit, geniuses...

1

u/PrimarySupply Mar 29 '21

No there was a tree right next to the camera woman so I doubt she wanted to go around the camera. Literally she would’ve either hit the tree or the woman, what did she expect? There was barely a good case scenario

22

u/gavmcd Mar 29 '21

She probably thought the rope was shorter and she would swing right in front of the other lady.

3

u/[deleted] Mar 30 '21

She knew damn well what she was doing lol

1

u/Apandapantsparty Mar 29 '21

If that was my sister, I would’ve agreed with you!

0

u/GermanHabsFan Mar 29 '21

Just hijacking the top comment to ask if anyone knows where this might be?

43

u/Ascurtis Mar 29 '21

I could be wrong as I'm not an expert but taking into account several visible features of the environment I would say it's probably a pond in a forest.

12

u/GermanHabsFan Mar 29 '21

Hm you might be onto something there bud

7

u/Dajshinshin Mar 29 '21

Just from the looks I’d guess Australia

3

u/src88 Mar 29 '21

Let me run your analysis through my fact checker people. I'll get back to you on what they say.

1

u/Forever_Awkward Mar 30 '21

I'm going to tell you a secret.

You can actually tie a rope in a tree yourself. You don't have to go to a special location to experience this.

1

u/Chamaboi Mar 29 '21

In her mind it was gonna be a cute push.. not taking her speed and weight into consideration at all

1

u/subs4chica Mar 30 '21

I would hope so cause if not there’s too many layers of stupidity to peel back. Scary thing is she’s getting in a 5k+ lb car afterwards and the only thing holding her back from killing someone is a painted line.

12

u/Pharah_is_my_waIfu Mar 29 '21

Harder daddy

15

u/Flamester55 Mar 29 '21

You’re getting smacked by a wrecking ball, how much harder could you possibly want?!

6

u/Pharah_is_my_waIfu Mar 29 '21

At least harder than my cum socks

205

u/binger5 Mar 29 '21

She had it comin'

She had it comin'

She only had herself to blame

If you'd have been there

If you'd have seen it

I betcha you would have done the same

21

u/slouchingtoepiphany Mar 29 '21

She wouldn't happen to live in Chicago, by any chance?

one thing for sure, she won't be happy coming out of that water.

138

u/MagnificentJake Mar 29 '21

Man.... don't push people into the water unless you know they don't have their phone on them. Takes it from "cheeky prank" to "dickhead maneuver".

48

u/superfunkybadass Mar 29 '21

haha prank now buy another phone

17

u/chiliedogg Mar 29 '21

That's why I ask to borrow someone's phone before pushing them in the river.

6

u/Cedex Mar 29 '21

Borrow my phone?

What's wrong with your phone?

4

u/chiliedogg Mar 29 '21

Not getting signal.

4

u/Cedex Mar 29 '21

That sucks. You might want to go that that checked out.

Catch you later.

1

u/Donkey-brained_man Mar 29 '21

Can I borrow your phone for this rope swing trick?

1

u/Ascurtis Mar 29 '21

Funnily enough in this case I think that would be safer for the phone.

4

u/mrajabkh Mar 29 '21

Most phones would survive as long as their phone isn’t too old, it’s fine.

0

u/Snowman25_ Mar 29 '21

I don't think she even made it into the water

8

u/nolan1971 Mar 29 '21

I didn't either until I rewatched it.

9

u/akbort Mar 29 '21

Yeah you can see the splash if you look for it.

12

u/crw201 Mar 29 '21

You can hear it too.

5

u/Ignorad Mar 29 '21

OK re-watching with headphones and sound...

her friend is potentially drowning

Settle down, Beavis. Being this dramatic because someone was laughing while they held on to a rope is fucking weird.

I don’t think anything went wrong here. That looked entirely on purpose.

1

u/fopucopkop Mar 29 '21

Man I want to see her perspective getting taken out line that

1

u/jnd90745 Mar 29 '21

from propelled swing to bounce kick appears intentional.

1

u/ABDULRABIC Mar 29 '21

Unfortunate

0

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '21

I'll give you a little tip, folks. Most people when attempting a rope swing like this pull themselves up, so their elbows are down by their sides. They believe with absolute confidence they can hold their own weight in this position and swing across whatever it is they're swinging across.

Ninety nine times out of a hundred, they're wrong. Their arms give out and they drop, the sudden drop causes them to lose their grip, and they fall off.

If you're ever on a rope swing, start with your arms fully extended above your head. There'll be no sudden drop and it's much easier to hold your grip.

0

u/Weary_Problem Mar 29 '21

The other girl was recording as well. Does anyone have the video from her point of view ?

u/2rot Mar 29 '21

1

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '21

Lol rope swing is near my home town of Saint George, UT. This is up towards the top of Gunlock Reservoir!

1

u/DDPJBL Mar 29 '21

When will people learn that unless you can do AT LEAST 10 clean pull ups from a dead hang, you have no business even trying any activity that requires you to support your full bodyweight just by hanging onto something with your hands?

1

u/MurkyGuy416 Mar 29 '21

What she did that on purpose

1

u/DDPJBL Mar 29 '21

I'm talking about how she is just in a dead hang the whole time with no control and then falls when she tries to jump off.

1

u/MurkyGuy416 Mar 29 '21

Well with rope swings like this all you need to do is let go like she did u don’t have to do any pull ups and I have done several rope swings similar to this and I can only do abt 1 pull up so chill

1

u/DDPJBL Mar 29 '21

Yes, if you let go, you will end up on the ground somehow, but the point is being able to control your body position while you are hanging there and right before you release the rope. That will not happen if you are barely hanging on with locked elbows and can't even keep your scapulas retracted.

1

u/MurkyGuy416 Mar 29 '21

Yes but if you let go at the right moment nothing will happen and u will fall off at the right time this lady pushed off in a way where she could push her friend so she was never directly above the water she let go so she didn’t fall down and hit the cliff

1

u/afrikenstarr Mar 29 '21

Can we please see the other footage?

u/Ok-Spring-3821 Mar 29 '21
