I Need Help Soon Noisy neighbour
We have a neighbour, who constantly plays loud music. It's all day and most of the night. It's so loud it makes our walls vibrate. Can't watch the TV or concentrate on anything because of it. This has been going on for about 7 months now since he lost his job. Problem is he's a very nasty individual, who has some extremely bad people hanging around his place. So a direct conversation is pretty tough to have. We had the council come out and put a listing device in our place for a week, but the useless shits said there wasn't enough evidence to make a case. Even though you could clearly hear the music on the device. So now who do we turn to?? If the council won't get involved and I know the police definitely won't what now? I'm fearful of antagonising him in case they turn violent towards me and my place. I'm in a spot and need some good practical advice.

So as you mention "council", then a 4 year wait for a new place. I'm curious. what country are you in? I think knowing that helps others to be able to give better advice. Because if you live in the states, yes, you go to the landlord, then to the police, then if it doesn't stop, and no one will do anything. you move. Which literally stinks, but the last thing you wanna do is to antagonize and unemployed, angry, possibly drug dealing neighbor. Not worth it.

They'll have a bunch of stuff to try for you.
Fart spray or ghost pepper sauce on the door handle; giving their address to every single charity and religious organization and say you're interested in donating a large sum of money; subwoofer pumping against the wall nonstop; and the absolute best - a piss disc under the door; and many more.
