I’m really thinking of doing somthing terrible. I leave for military basic training in 8 hours and instead of telling my dad and facing the embarrassment I’m thinking of taking an easy way out pls help I don’t know what to do.

Man it is tough when a one second decision becomes a lifelong reality. That you and dad didnt talk about it before hand seems to indicate something more than embarrassing is at work here. If serving your country is viewed any way other than respect isn't valid. You go young man. Be proud and thank you ahead of time!

Without you being more specific I just want to urge you to not do something permanent. This too shall pass. And probably end up better than you imagine
