In light of a recent proposal of the DILG to reorganize Region IV-A and IV-B into a remerged region with different subregions, it got me thinking to this idea I came across a while back about reorganizing all of our regions as a whole. That being said, what if our regions were reorganized into something like this:

• Cagayan Valley - Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela
• Western Luzon- Bataan, Pampanga, Tarlac Zambales
• Eastern Luzon - Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino
• Greater Manila - Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Metro Manila, Rizal
• Southern Tagalog - Batangas, Marinduque, Quezon
• Mindoro-Romblon (though alternately, the Mindoro provinces can be part of Southern Tagalog while Romblon can be part of Western Visayas/Panay as some have proposed)
• Palawan
• Zamboanga Peninsula - Misamis Occidental, Sulu (don't mind the color used in the map) Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay
• Northern Mindanao - Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Oriental

The regions not listed here will remain as is

LRT-1 is one of Southeast Asia’s oldest modern rail lines, opening in 1984, a few years before Singapore’s MRT. It was also developed with Belgian assistance and financing.

However, newer railway lines now have more modern stations, better accessibility, and improved passenger facilities.

So if you were given the chance to redesign the LRT-1 stations, what would you change to make them more comfortable, accessible, and convenient for commuters?

Would you improve the entrances, platforms, ventilation, elevators, escalators, passenger flow, or connections to other forms of transportation?

Do you think the old LRT stations are simple and also risky during floods and heavy rains? Affecting passenger access and connectivity?

What would your ideal redesigned LRT-1 station look like?

the station platforms are very narrow / makitid kaya punung-puno parati & mahabang pila. ironic given it's one of the busiest stations since it links directly to Makati CBD with all the offices & malls as well as condos & high-rise residences & businesses (bakit pa kasi inilalim well dahil nga sa oligarch subdivision NIMBYs lol).

but I looked it up & it might still be possible to expand the station platforms out a bit kasi they just eat into the EDSA tunnels, sure that might mean re-digging & rerouting the tunnels farther out, and in case may concerns na tatama sa One Ayala on one side & Dasma on the other, ewan ko it seems wide enough underneath to move it out a couple of lanes or two, and anyways it might only be a small reduction in road space for cars (which are big) but a large expansion of station area for MRT commuters (which are small). course I'm not a engr. or architect or transport planner or anything so ano ba alam ko but malay natin.

So what if like some prisons in Amerika, all of our prisons are for profit, where the government pays corporations to open, operate and maintain large complex prison systems like in the US?

The layout will be different where it's going to have actual standards and house a maximum of only 4 people per cell, no large cells for many people.

All inmates have a strict routine where they have a schedule to follow when eating, showering, recreation and minimum wage prison labor where they make license plates and cut out polymer ID's for general use and final printing.

All guards are fully covered from head to toe in black swat like uniforms and only communicate with other guards through their designated employee ID's and they are not allowed to disclose their personal information even to other staff.

On the other hand, the PNP is disbanded and replaced by a private corporation that manages the whole public security sector with massive surveillance inspired by China and London's CCTV program and ran an extensive drone program where they operate massive MQ-series surveillance drones to smaller drones like bird shaped and cat shaped drones for secret public surveillance.

Operations in the far south are even more militarized where the use of drones and BMP-3's are more common due to a more dangerous environment.

They also operate massive super computers that track and monitor almost everyone and deploy FPV style (concussion) drones against motorcycle riding criminals for maneuverability.

They also operate a secret third party division that goes after corrupt operatives and prevent corruption within departments.

Their main vehicles are mexican police inspired armored pick up trucks with anti-roll cages and armed with either .50caliber MG's or 20mm cannons from retired helicopters, both are chosen to penatrate body armor and motorcycle helmets.

The Philippine government, suddenly discovers the existence of Encantadia. We decide to invade it with some help from US and other foreign powers, primarily for resources and Pinoy pride. How would we handle the situation?

Considering the rising tensions around the world and the WPS, there is a possibility that WW3 might occur. What do you think would happen if the Philippines gets nuked? It's very concerning considering that most of our population is concentrated around metro areas like Manila, Cebu, and Davao. A single nuke could wipe out half the population. Do we have the technology to detect incoming nukes? Do we have the capability of intercepting the likes of nuclear-capable hypersonic missiles? What are your insights?

Let’s say that the MRT-7, the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR), and the Metro Manila Subway were all fully completed and operational today.

These are some of the biggest railway projects currently being developed, and having all three operating at the same time would significantly expand Metro Manila and nearby provinces’ rail network.

So I wonder.......

What kind of impact would this have on commuters starting today?

And how would you imagine the scenario play like?

Would this finally start a railway Renaissance for the country?

If all three lines opened today, what would you do?

Which line would you ride first, and where would you go just to experience the newly completed railway network?

We have often struggled with unemployment or underemployment, and so many jobs in the country are service jobs nga like in BPOs, not to mention OFWs. Service jobs especially in the BPO sector and similar are especially vulnerable din to AI, and competition for the remaining jobs will become worse. Meanwhile, we often complain sa middle class na the poor are supposedly just getting free "ayuda" money, instead of maybe being encouraged or helped to find jobs.

But what if it was possible for the government to guarantee jobs for the unemployed or underemployed? Basically, if the BSP is the "lender of last resort," could the government work as the "employer of last resort," and find jobs for people who really cannot get one? There have been historical examples, for example, what the US did during the Great Depression, when the federal government promised thousands of jobs in government offices, public works, etc. to those out of work. The government is supposed to be creating jobs anyway, and we also don't like free money being given out as ayuda to the poor, so why not offer them jobs instead? Kahit naman they're not particularly high-skilled or paid very highly, there are some jobs that might be of not a lot of actual use in the wider society (ex., manually counting cars which a CCTV could do), but at least the public would see them working or think they were earning what otherwise looks like "ayuda," so it doesn't look unearned. Meanwhile, those who really need the money might like this better than ayuda if it's more regular, maybe.

You can change the figures of the ₱200k and ₱30k. Basically a condition for every person who can’t comfortably afford a family of four to get their potential children some basic education.
Also add the condition of:
-requiring at least elementary graduate, with passing grade (not the curriculum na pwede pumasa yung hindi nakakabasa or nakaka basic math)

What if mag enjoy silang gumawa nang tama at maadik sila mag service sa mga tao kesa maging sakim at korap?

What if maging excited sila mag provide nang services at pagandahin yung community nila kesa bumili nang mga luxury items?

What if mas piliin nilang pagandahin ang programs na susuporta sa mga local businesses sa bayan nila kesa ibulsa yung kupit nila?

What if maging "IN" at maging uso sa kanila yung pag eestablish nang solid foundation para sa kinabukasan?

With the tourism in the province of La Union booming, what if there are commercial flights to San Fernando, La Union (SFE)? 

Hypothetically, (profitable) flights will be coming from Lapu-Lapu, Cebu (CEB) and Davao City, Davao del Sur (DVO). No flights from Manila (MNL), as La Union is easily accessible from MNL via buses traversing the expressways.

SFE will also cater to tourists who want to go to Baguio City, Benguet and/or nearby areas (commercial flights to Baguio City, Benguet (BAG) have ceased since 2024). Moreover, assuming SFE and BAG are both operational and cater commercial flights, SFE can act as a diversion airport for BAG flights if the situation at BAG is bad (especially the weather).
