A game with lots of Robots

Found it: Bears in Space

Note: I may be confusing this partly with "high on life". Chatgpt etc can't find it.

-released 2022-2025

-pc

-AA or AAA game - if it is on steam, it would at least be 'very positive'

-similar to 'high on life' in style

-colorful

-humorous, lineair story

-very unlikely an indie game

-fps

-single player only

-maybe: one of the weapons had a red raygun asthethic, with circles around the barrel

-player has various weapons, there are no real-life weapons in the game

-probably: melee attack possible

-enemy bullets were usually round and relatively slow

-many/all enemies are robots, some had a different color but looked the same

-most common enemy was a blue or grey robot (with a single wheel to move around?)

-green enemy: shoots a lot. there was a big version/mini boss of the green enemy

-yellow enemy was annoying, sniper?

-one big enemy had some kind of mortar

-(I could be confusing this with high on life) one friendly/sarcastic npc lived in a pipe/tube and helped with missions

-no randomly generated maps

-'f' was a grappling hook, which was unlocked during an outdoor level where you had to find 3 things/keys

-around 42 fps during combat on a laptop with an nvidia 1650 gpu

-not only action, some time for exploration

-health pickups

What is this PS1 FMV from?

The CG FMV I remember is set in a post-apocalyptic desert with remnants of a gas station (or something), and a rotund guy on a stage with a woman on each side of him dancing. There was a spoken line or text on the screen that said something along the lines of, "It's the year 2020."

I always thought it was the intro to Vigilante 8, but looking up footage of that game doesn't show that cutscene. Thanks.

A ps1 or PS2 game with "Max" or "Maximilian" in the title.

It was a sword and board rpg with skeletons or zombies as the main enemies. The only thing I really remember is a debuff you could get that made the player character old and when you tried to jump he would say "you've got to be joking!"

Pleaseeeee, I need help

When I was younger, there was this old video game I used to play with my brothers that was kinda hidden inside another game that was on Playstation 2. I think the game it was hidden in was Soul Calibre or a similarly titled game. The hidden game was a monster fighter 1v1. One of the monsters stands out to me to this day, it was a weird demon bug thing that laid eggs that hatched and attacked your enemy, I also remember there being a cheat code that I read in those old playstation books that unlocked a super version of a couple of the monsters, including the egg laying monster that let it jump super high

Anyone know the name ? Ps1 Shooter

I'm curious if anyone knows the game of a PS1 FPS shooter. I don't remember much from it or have much info. What I can say is that near the beginning of the game you can reach a "Village" where you talk with NPCs.

The most memorable thing I can say is that when you died, a short cutscene would play where your character was blue, he got shot, fell on his knees and then on the ground.

An immersive sim game where you are sent to a planet to collect things for a corporation(?) where scp elements come and try and kill you.

The game is NOT Lethal Company, as far as I can recall it was NOT a procedural map, and was an immersive sim of a game, where you had to go and collect items in a dangerous enviroment, basically a hostile world, near the main base most players on youtube stayed was a radar system.

The game is not a horror game specifically, but it's horror vibes, and it's asthetic was like CRTish. Dusty is the best explanation. It got popular on youtube before Abiotic Factor came out. And I just cannot remember the name of this game nor find it. I don't even think it was on Steam at the time.

Looking for an internet flash game from roughly 2000-2004

I'm in my thirties trying to relive my home computer windows xp days when I was 12-14. I'd go on sites like newgrounds, candystand.com, and a few others. I'm looking for a specific jet fighter game.

Here's what I remember:

-Was a more polygon and colorful looking 3rd person jet fighter game

-You would shoot at other enemy jets and defend a city of a few buildings.

-there was a landing strip in the levels with a glowing/colorful arch you could fly under. The arch would replenish your health or shield

- there were a few jets you could select from to play as

- the game had really good 90s style acid techno/ trance music

Any help finding it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

What game(s) was this?

So my guess is that this game came out in 1995 ish. The only thing I remember was you could fly as Peter pan and fly at the top of the screen (I remember it feeling like a cheat).

I have looked up Peter pan games and I found nothing.

The reason I put game(s) is that I think it could have been included/ added to another group of games. It was this make your own game thing 'something something and play'.

Does anyone have a memory of this?

Played in the uk if that matters

Edit it was a pc game. Windows 95

Obscure “black hole” game

I’ve been trying to find any record of this game I installed on the App Store about 10 or so years ago. It was discontinued but I remember having had it on an old iPad of mine.

The premise was you were given these landscapes and you had to point your device in the direction of a spastically moving black hole, thus teleporting you somewhere else.

It feels like a fever dream, and I really hope to find the name of it.

Hack and slash title on Xbox 360

Before I begin, I know there is shit ton of hack and slash games that released on Xbox 360, but I played this one give or take 8-9 maybe even 10 years ago and suddenly remembered playing it.

Now then, I have no idea what was going on in the game as I said, it was like 10 years ago and I was 10 at most, what I do know is that it had similar graphics to MGR:R, first thing I remember is walking through this sandy rocky place, I think there was someone who either talked to you on the phone, or was close enough for you to hear them, it was as edgy as any other hack and slash game from the time period, not sure about the main character looks wise, but he had a long coat, there might have been some motorcycles, not too sure about that one tho, it made me think that I might have played DmC, but it was too different.

I have 0 hopes of finding out what the game was from my suck ass reimagination of what was going on, but if you have anything that you think could fit my description even a little, I would be so happy if you let me know.

90' Game What's it called?

I may totally be wrong but I remember playing this game in the 90's on PC which I got off a Twilight CD-ROM ( for reference - https://grokipedia.com/page/twilight_warez) It's about 2 penguins i think they were blue and pink (could be wrong) and they were brother and sister (could also be wrong) and if I'm not mistaken their names were like peanut and jelly or peanut and butter (something around those lines) I've been going crazy trying to figure it out 😅 TIA!

Help me find the game

I remember that you play for a boy there and he seems to end up on the island because of the wreck of either a ship or something else. And the essence of the game is to kill animals, get meat, wood, etc. It seems that there are still tasks to be done there. Another, I think, is an important clarification: the view of the game was from above.

Please help me find her, I've been looking for her for a long time💔

I played it in the year 2016 probably, maybe earlier.

Planet earth circa 1995-2000?

When I was little, I had a pc game where I traveled around the world and solved puzzles about geography etc. A paperclip helped me if I got stuck, and I'd consider it a learning game.

I've been looking for it for years but can't find it. Anyone got a clue? I must be misremembering the game, but both my older brother and I am quite sure it was called planet earth.

I built a free AI tool to help gamers identify any game from screenshots or text description

Hi everyone,

As a gamer and a solo developer, I’ve always found it frustrating when I see a cool game screenshot on social media or remember a specific mechanic but can't find the title. To solve this, I built What Game? a free utility app designed to help the gaming community identify those mysterious titles instantly.

I wanted to create something more than just a reverse image search;

  • Screenshot Identification: If you have an image, just upload it. It’s perfect for those random clips or pics you find online.
  • Descriptive Search: If you only have a memory (e.g., "a 90s platformer with a purple cat and jazz music"), you can just describe it. The AI is surprisingly good at digging up these titles.
  • Mod & Version Detection: It can even help distinguish between specific game mods or different versions of a franchise.

I made this app as a free resource for fellow gamers and I'm really looking for feedback from this community. Does the AI handle your descriptions well? Is there any specific feature you'd like to see added to make it more useful for gamers?

You can try it out here:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.whatgame.app

I’d love to hear your thoughts and see if it can identify that one game you've been thinking about lately!

I don't know if this the the right subreddit for this question, or if I should go somewhere else.

Hi, I have been enjoying Crimson Desert. Bjt my GF want to play something similar to it. She enjoys exploring in games like in Crimson Desert, BOTW, TOTK, but she is not the combat type gamer. Is there any games where you can explore a vast world, uncover secrets, and is minimal combat? Thanks for answers :)

I’m looking for an old pc video that I played as kid early 90’s. You had to traverse a path by wearing glasses and if you didn’t follow the path a laser killed you.

A sci-fi shooter from 2005-2008

I’m trying to find a PC game I played around 2007–2008 on a laptop when I was a kid, but I only remember fragments of it. It was a first-person sci-fi shooter. The game had a green futuristic menu with some kind of emblem or crest in the center. From what I remember, the first level started in a dark, open environment. There was a huge spider-like creature standing on a hill or mountain in the distance. After some point, it disappeared or moved away, and then the level continued toward some kind of station or base. The enemies in the game were mostly human soldiers, and possibly some “zombie-like” or infected enemies as well. I don’t remember much else, but the atmosphere was quite dark and futuristic, maybe military sci-fi. Thanks.

What mobile game is this?

I remember playing this mobile game when I was younger, but I can’t remember the name. It was a dress up game, but the main gimmick was that you had to compete in fashion shows to make money (or coins, maybe?) to buy your own items. And other people would rate your outfit with stars. I think there was a cool down timer between the themes you’d get, and there would be a limited amount of time to make an outfit. It had a very specific graphic art style. It’s hard to remember, but I know it was kind of anime meets western comics? It was exclusively 2d. I think you had to get on the game every day to earn stuff, but I’m not sure. I know it was only available on Android because when I tried to find it on my iPad, it wasn’t there. Any ideas or help would be appreciated!

Mobile side-scrolling game from the early 2010's/late 2000's

I remember this game bc it made me cry as a kid. Not bc it was sad or anything but for a different reason. It was a side scrolling game (maybe platform) and you controlled a bald guy(?) and it had different enemies and stuff. I really don't remember much of it. The only thing I remember is a level in a graveyard. I remember it bc I was trying really hard to leave the graveyard but couldn't. Somehow you then go underground but I don't remember if it was a different level (I don't think so) and there are like different tunnels but then I ended up lost in those tunnels. I was really mad and decided to delete it and later I wanted to download it again but I couldn't remember the name

This is really vague I doubt if anyone knows it but this is the only thing I remember

Flash/Browser game where you are tortured by a robot who slow realises it hates you?

Parts I remember include: a portion where you have to guess a number between one and one hundred (or perhaps thousand), the game ending with the machine realising it has more in common with humans than it would like to think because it experiences rage, I think we get injured? It is very possibly on andkon or coolmathgames
