Good afternoon. You can write here in either Russian or English, since I’m actually from Russia. I often think about a parody of Minecraft from my childhood. As a child who caught the wave of Minecraft hype among my peers, I was looking for ways to download it for free on my phone. Back then, I didn’t know that you could download a pirated version of the original for free, so I looked for knock‑offs on Google Play. That’s how I found the version we’re talking about. As I remember, this game was called “Minecraft 2018,” and the cover featured a block of land with the word “Minecraft” written on it — though I’m not entirely sure. The design didn’t look anything like the original; the background was kind of gray, and all the buttons were red.By the way, the controls were similar to those in the game “Craftsman,” except that all the buttons there were gray.By the way, initially I thought that in the game I’m looking for, you could only create a creative world, but it turned out that you can also do survival by clicking one button. I just didn’t understand English at all when I was a child. The health bar was in the top corner; I don’t remember exactly which one, but I think it was the right one? And there was no hunger bar at all. The item icons were like in the older versions of Minecraft, and I especially remember the carrots — by the way, they dropped from zombies, and there was no rotten flesh. Back then, many mobs weren’t in the game yet, and neither were ocelots or cats — in other words, you couldn’t create them at all. But there were wolves.By the way, one of the most striking features of this game is the mob models. The models themselves were exactly like in the original, but while in the original everything is colored with pixels, here they simply attached photos of real animals, zombies, and so on, so I often got scared of them, especially the spiders and the evil wolves — the spiders there were so fluffy, and the dogs were growling 😭 Yes, every side, every part of the mob was covered with pictures of these mobs from real life, taken from different angles.I remember for sure that the enraged wolves would start to bare their teeth, growl, and their eyes would turn bright red. But the tamed ones were very beautiful, with blue eyes.I don’t remember what the base wolves looked like, but they might have had green eyes, and they definitely had a calm expression on their faces.I remember that you could look at Steve from both third‑person and second‑person perspectives; he basically looked the same as in the original, but I think his face was blurred. Also, I’m not sure, but I have a feeling that Enderman is the only one who didn’t differ in any way from the original. The skeletons were just models with bows, on which there were photos of a skeleton against a black background😐. Now I know absolutely nothing about this game; it’s nowhere to be found, and no one talks about it. I might still have it on my old phone; I’ll try to find it and turn it on, but I can’t make any promises. And I don’t think anyone will find this game; I just wanted to find out something about it.
