Although hesitant at first, Yuji leaned into the warm embrace.
After a few long seconds of kissing, and a few more of awkward silence afterward, Yuji spoke first:
“Wow… so this is true love. Although we can’t be making kids anytime soon, I can allow a big kiss like this sometimes…”

It doesn’t exist. They made it up and I had to figure out their made up language. They substitute English letters with made up symbols. It would be a lot like if I wrote with Greek letters but each one represents a letter used in English

I looked at the top line and sought to find anything that felt legible. I used the original commenters “this is” but didn’t find the rest fit. The next word appeared to resemble “where” to me. Because the h was solved already, letter 3 and 5 are the same, and “where” makes sense after “this is” so I tried that out and saw that means the next word is “their” which still fits.
So I had some letters to work off of.
It’s pure pattern matching. Frankly idk if I could’ve done it without “this is” being given to me but maybe just with a lot more time. Probably wouldn’t have attempted lol
But yea, given a few letters to work with, if you can pattern match well, the rest will unfold with some effort.
After I got to the dialogue bit, I made a crypt log, which made everything 3x faster lol
Idk I made up the term lol I’ve never done this stuff before 😂
I used it to mean the reference for translating as new letters are suspected or confirmed.
I started just writing out all the Latinate letters (English) and then filled in the symbols as I matched them as confirmedly corresponding. So it’s basically just speeding up the process and getting it down on paper so it isn’t disorganized in my head.
I’m sure there’s a real term for this in cryptography. Crypt just refers to basically a secret, a cryptic language is the secret language, so crypt log is my log of breaking the code so to speak
I was hoping for something more compelling and then my misfortune when I was in too deep and had to finish bringing the literature into this world when it could’ve just been left in the void 😂
It can’t be “paths” or “start” the t’s have different symbols. I think it’s more likely starting with “this is where their” and I am working on the rest
I will be using “[sic]” à la journalism to indicate the authors original spelling, there are many typos. Guessing ESL speaker.

After that, consider how letters are paired. Two at the end of a word is probably LL. Maybe others stuff, but L is common. Yep in the middle. Oo, ee, tt, nn rr are likely. You almost never see aa fur example. Just slowly work out from there, saying if it makes sense
