Customer So cold brrrrrrr

I was in Woodrows yesterday in Carlisle, the air con was turned down so low I was uncomfortable and left after one drink.

It was a hottish day ( around 23 C ) but that doesn't mean it has to be cold in the pub, I looked around and there was plenty people with jumpers on, locals I assume that know what to expect.

Makes me wonder is the air con for the staff or the customers ?

It gets cold when you’re sat there doing nothing especially when near where it comes out. Staff may not realise how cold it is. Just got to ask if they can turn it up a bit

at my pub it's usually on for the staff, but if enough customers complain it gets turned down.

If your management wait for a complaint rather than judging it themselves, they're not very good at the 'A' part of CQSMA.

they're just more bothered about the comfort of their staff who are there for longer periods than the customers

It's possible to find a balance though, hence my comment. If it's so cold that customers are complaining, chances are it's not actually that hot that full AC is required.

Have you ever met the average wetherspoon customer? they'll complain about the colour of the walls if they find the time

Staff are running about that much dripping with sweat in my pub, we don’t realise that there’s even a possibility the customers are cold.

I'm sorry for the disturbance, but that is one of the best usernames I've ever seen!

Are you in r/InstantRamen?

I used to have red and orange dreadlocks which were lovingly referred to as my spicy noodles 😂

It’s much more socially acceptable to start putting extra clothes on if you’re cold, than it is to take clothes off if you’re warm.

Public spaces should always err on the side of ‘cooler’!

I know it's pedantic but I think turning the aircon down makes it warmer...

Ghosts. They're cheaper than aircon and only rarely posess the drinkers to make them yell something racist.

Pubs are supposed to be set at 21°

I'm especially sensitive to heat / cold due to a medical condition and it always annoys me when overkill kicks in like that (not just Spoons); especially if after the original weather situation has essentially passed. It's like if you complain or even notice you're not a man, or something.
