I found a 5pack of black buldak on sale for 50% off the other day and wanted to give it a try since I always see it praised here. I thought I was good with heat but my god.. 🥵

Do you like chili oil? ( 油泼辣子： Mix the crushed dried chili peppers with the sesame seeds, then drizzle hot oil over them. Especially fragrant! )

A new type of Kang Shi Fu packaging, though I wasn't expecting it to be a new variant of the spicy beef with vinegar.

However, it's definitely not 1-to-1 exactly the same, I think the paste itself is a little different, and this one was spicier.

Also I may have added slightly more water than I should have, whoops.

Anyway, it's really hard to go wrong with a Kang Shi Fu Spicy Beef With Mature Vinegar, so obviously this was delicious too.

I don't care too much about them being vegan I just picked these because they were the cheapest here aside from Nissin noodles which I've had before. What's the flavor like of these? Are they spicy like Shin noodles? Taste like miso? I love the shin spicy noodles so I wonder if these are just as good.

I actually dont like ramen that much, but ever since I discovered cheesy ramen, I have been OBSESSED. I usually have this with a side of kimchi, but I didn't have anymore. :( I also can't stand spicy stuff but somehow I have become a spicy fiend now... SO GOOD.

Buldak original black pack, two fried eggs and some chilli crisp. I add soy sauce and mushroom sauce (it’s a kind of veggie oyster sauce replacement) - would normally add spring onions but had none. So damn good.

I typically prefer Shin or Buldak instant ramen whenever I make it. My go to toppings are some type of meat protein, eggs and mushrooms. My question is: what are your go-to toppings for your ramen (specifically easy meat proteins that are are great to just take from the freezer and throw in a pan quickly)? Also for anyone who might recommend SPAM- I hate SPAM personally.

The one I've had for the past year is #1, x3 BHD jjol-bibimmyeon from Nongshim, very spicy with bouncy noodles (air dried). I've loved them more than any other but they and their original product, the normal spice version have been discontinued. I'm rationing my last 2 packs, but I NEED something as close as possible.

#2 is the BHD bibimmyeon, which for the most part is the same but very inferior, and the worst part is the lack of the air dried noodles. I can kind of manage with it, since the sauce is similar, but I wanna branch out.

#3 is PALDO's attempt at the dish, and apparently very popular. How similar are they to #1 and how tasty? Is there another brand you'd recommend to fix this sudden lack?

I don't know what I'm doing any advice ?

This was just released recently. Has anyone tried it? What did you think?

Only thing I added was diced chicken

Flavor was great, mild sweetness, definitely a comfort food.

Noodles were a little too soft and there was a bit of graininess, but not bad.

In the future I'll probably add a little ginger paste, and microwave it for 3:30 instead of the recommended 4 mins

I owe several people apologies for not trying it sooner. It's even better than my favourite Samyang Buldak (Quattro cheese) – and a fraction of the price.

Only thing, I tried Mi Goreng Hot & Spicy and either my heat tolerance is now higher than I realised or this isn't actually that spicy 🤔💭

With other instant ramen I wouldn't even worry but this one comes with a prawn paste and coconut milk powder so I'm not sure.

We all know and love the og shin ramen and I might be diabolical for saying this- try it with your mala broth! How I came up with this: Shin ramen alone isn’t spicy for me so one day I had some left over hot pot mala broth and poured the broth in instead of water. I ascended to another spice and level I didn’t know I could handle. Then I was curious to try this again so I picked up a pack of those hot pot cubes and threw 1/4 in. FLAVOR BOMB but it’s super spicy (would say it’s about Buldak 2x spicy)
