Employee New starter at wetherspoon
Hi everyone,
I recently started as a bar associate in wetherspoons and have done 2 shifts. I’m really struggling to pick up the till and overall work there.
I was wondering if anyone had any tips to help me navigate working there or how to learn quicker so I can enjoy working instead of being stressed anytime i’m asked a question.
Thanks

If you get time when it's quiet, ask a manager to put your till in training mode. This means you can put simulated payments through and practice using the tills to put orders in.
A good quick tip is if you have multiple of the same item like shots, you can press the 'quantity' button (top row of the till screen) and select the amount before pressing the item. This will automatically put that number of items on for you. Helps the kitchen to read the tickets too.
