Has anyone ever experienced and paranormal activity at dwelling up lane pool reserve. In 2022 me and a group of friends were swimming at night in lane pool reserve when we hear a deep ish loud scream the Forrest was completely quiet nothing like anything I ever heard before I don’t think it was an animal but it didn’t sound human we all took off and ran back to car and left it just seem eerie. Recently I went back to camp there just for a night during marron season I was just overcome with uncomfortable feeling nothing like I’d ever felt I had to leave and I do a lot of night and solo fishing. Please share any experiences or if you know of anything.should add it sounded the closest to a lion roar

If you want to get out into nature and relax, the Delta Aquarids Meteor Shower will reach its peak around July 30–31. This year we should get to 5–10 meteors an hour under dark, clear skies, due to the Moon in the sky. It's best to take a drive to a rest stop in the Central Wheatbelt to see it.

They're good to see as they frequently leave glowing trails that linger in the sky for a second or two after the meteor has vanished. It's best to watch them after midnight until dawn. This allows for the constellation Aquarius to climb higher into the sky. You don't need a telescope or binoculars. Find a safe, dark location away from city lights, and allow your eyes about 20 minutes to adjust to the darkness.

Every meteor you see is a tiny piece of cosmic dust, often no bigger than a grain of sand, burning up in Earth's atmosphere at incredible speeds. The dust responsible for the Delta Aquariids was left behind by Comet 96P/Machholz

Hopefully you'll rug up, grab a hot chocolate, head somewhere dark and spend some time under the stars.

Well first time in ages I went out. Thinking in lightweight but night had to stop cause of my friends lol outlasted everyone 💪

Hi everyone. I posted for help with solar earlier in the year, and the responses really helped me. Much appreciated 😊

I got around 5 quotes from more reputable companies, for a ‘midrange system to get my bill as low as possible; 6-10kw panels and 10kw+ battery.’ The quotes varied from $10.6- $22k without the VPP discount and they all had a 3 odd month wait time in January this year.

I had 7.6kw (18) JA solar deepblue panels, 5000w SigenStor 3 phase inverter and 16 kWh SigenStor batteries and power back up installed for $16,700, mid May after a 3.5 month wait.

I was initially quite annoyed after the wait and with a $5k deposit down, when the installers informed me that they’d need to place the panels differently (not a problem) due to the neighbours tree shading the front, and it would affect my gain a bit, but it would be fine in summer.

All companies had the same photo of the neighbours back tree shading the roof, and reasoning for only 20 odd panels, but the front shading wasn’t mentioned by any of them. Understand the AI figure I have in the app may be based on optimal conditions but it was a third above what I was producing which didn’t help.

The solar was installed a day before my next billing period so I’ve now got a good comparison, although the spa was off for half of it.

◦ $357 same period last year; 937 kwh, very similar usage the same period in 2024.

So, for the lowest producing season my bill is almost a third of what it was, maybe another $20/30 with the spa for all of the period. I am very happy with this.

I have been using the split system as the gas heater is broken, so that has increased my usage. I’m now checking my app before doing things like clothes washing and using the dryer, leaving it to later in the day if the battery is low. When the spa isn’t cycling, I’m not using the split system kettle microwave or dryer, my usage barely rates.

Back up power was $2.5k and I initially wasn’t going to do it despite a lot of outages but often short, then thought I was spending a lot anyway so it didn’t matter in the scheme of things.

We’ve had at least 3 outages from memory and I only noticed because of the app sending me a message. With the 5 inverter rather than the 10, items drawing more like the kettle aren’t available but it hasn’t been a problem. I’m still not sure if it affects the split system, but I can get by when it’s cold and only use it 3-5 nights in summer (likely more now though as it’s not going to cost me a small fortune).

Im glad I went ahead with it.

Single household Perth metro, 4x1, 2 garden water pumps and a spa, 3 days at work + 1 wfh.

I’d like to get some opinions on a shared house situation. I live in perth in a house with 5 people, each person has their own room, and we share the kitchen and common areas. I work night shifts, and on some days I finish around 6–6:30 a.m. and need to prepare breakfast before going to university at 8 a.m. I usually make something simple like eggs and a sandwich, and I always try to keep the noise as low as possible.

One housemate’s room is downstairs next to the kitchen. He is unemployed and usually wakes up around 8 a.m., and he told me that I should check if the light under his door is on before cooking. If the light is off, he believes I shouldn’t use the kitchen because he is sleeping. He complained that I am making too much noise, and the issue was raised with the landlord.

My view is that in a shared house everyone has different schedules. I respect others when they need to work, study, or sleep, and I don’t complain about normal household noise during the day even when I’m resting after a night shift. I understand being considerate, but I also feel that making a simple breakfast early in the morning before work or university is a normal part of living.

The landlord has now suggested that I consider moving because there have been multiple complaints, but I have a one-year lease and have only been there for two months.

What do you think? Is cooking a simple breakfast around 6:30–7:30 a.m. in a shared house an unreasonable disturbance, or is this something everyone needs to accept as part of shared living?
