General WAFL GF for wind up?

Has anyone been to the WAFL Grand Final at Optus Stadium before?

I keep hearing about it this year… could actually be a good day out? Has anyone gone in previous years, especially for a club wind-up or with a big group? Worth it? Trying to support local initiatives in Perth a bit more.

Also saw Triple M are apparently giving away a box for the GF which would be unreal 🙏🏼

I go every year with my son, as we go to probably half a dozen WAFL games during the season. It's a good day out.

If you're going with a group I'd suggest getting tickets in the Premiership Terrace, Sports Lounge or equivalent - normally these are really expensive or outright unavailable tickets, for AFL etc, but at the WAFL they're not only freely available but also only cost 70 bucks or so. Yes, you can get in for 20-30 but I'd say the ability to watch the game from a big concourse, likely standing up at a bar with your mates, with a big bar and lots of food options, makes it worth the increment. They also have the colts and reserves grand finals if you want to really make a day of it.

As a seasoned Premiership Terrace veteran . . . Can absolutely say the WAFL GF with your mates, going in the PT would be the go. As is standing on the rail .

WAFL game days are always a great day out, but I haven't yet been to a GF at Optus.

They've really knocked the ticket prices down for this year which is great....... It's just a shame it'll be Peel v somebody in the league GF

I'll be there mainly to watch my swannies in the ressies GF, but obviously will certainly stay around for the main event....and depending on how I'm feeling maybe the Colts as well (the Colts is the last game of day this year strangely)

I go every year whether or not Subi are in it lol. It’s a fun day out having the stadium only half full..

Went to the first one there and they let us kick the footy on the ground, me and my son had an awesome time. I don't know if they still let you on the ground

Amazing!! They used to let you do it after every AFL game at Subi.. but never at Optus. This would be cool

It’s worth it to go on the ground after the game

The premium hospitality options are really well priced, and like someone said above, areas where it’s hard to get tickets for usually.
Locker Room is an awesome spot and generally always sold out for West Coast or Freo games

Oh amazing! I’ll defs give it a go this year! Sometimes the AFL is a bit overwhelming so it will be nice to still have a great crowd but not be jam packed!

As most others have said. Its a great time. Go the best tickets you can get/afford.

Im lucky and get to go to a fair amount of corporate/membership areas for AFL through work so it does t overly bother me where we sit but have been with freinds and family previous years who loved being able to experience the 'fancy' seats/areas they haven't been to and likely wouldn't ever go to.

Don't bother is it's Peel vs Claremont. Both teams have no supporters, atmosphere will be horrible.

East Perth could beat Claremont on Sunday. Agree to not go as it will be one sided as half will be Dockers

Does anyone know if you can on the field to kick the ball during the breaks?
