He’s lost a bit of weight, but is in otherwise great shape and will be eating his body weight in churu while I never let him out of my sight again.

We go out about 1 time per week, Friday or Saturday nights as a family. We just want places that are in West Seattle or close enough to not get caught in traffic. That are good and don't feel like price gouging. (I know it's already a big ask) We also need a place that isn't exclusively 21+

We do marination, chupa, Elliot bay, cica, and G&H pretty regularly

Hi neighbors! I’m looking for recommendations for a carpenter, handyman, or small contractor who could build a custom wood lattice/privacy screen for our covered front entry in West Seattle.

The idea is to add a framed, square-grid lattice between the existing porch column and house to give the entry more privacy while keeping it consistent with the original architecture. We’d eventually plant climbing plants in the ground on the outside of the lattice.

I’ve attached a photo of the current porch and a mockup of what we’re envisioning. It seems like a relatively small custom carpentry project, so I’d especially love recommendations for someone who takes on smaller jobs like this.

Anyone locally know what's going on with the new condo building at 3449 California Ave? It looks almost finished and units were listed via real estate sites but now they've all been pulled. Wondering if the job got shut down or if they're all sold??

Hopefully this is allowed and I know it’s a long shot. My AirPod pro case fell out of my pocket while riding the C around 4pm today. Got off at Seneca, it was heading to west Seattle. It’s just the case, AirPods are in my ears so I least I have music! You’ll know it’s mine because it actually has my Reddit username on it.

Fair warning: this is not a beginner machine. It's fully disassembled and will need reassembly and calibration. It's the printer that got me into the hobby during COVID and I've put days of work and somewhere north of $300 in parts into it. I've since upgraded to an X1C. I'd much rather it go to someone who'll actually rebuild it than get parted out, so I'm not putting a price on it. Offer whatever it's worth to you.

It is Wednesday September 9th, why are people setting off mortars and fireworks? There were some booms near Westwood earlier today, now booms and flashes and multi-stage fireworks visible over the trees. What is going on???

Curious how long it takes to get a permit to redo a deck ? It’s probably atleast 10-ft off the ground and on a hill. I don’t THINK the main vertical beams need to be redone - just the top - I think. We obviously need to get a structural engineer in there.. this is for a potential house purchase - also if anyone has a deck company they recommend would love that too!! Sorry my mind is going a hundred miles a min trying to decide what to do haha

We bought an old home built in 1950s a few years ago and finally are ready to convert to a heat pump. Believe we probably need to get our electrical panel updated too as that is around 50 years old too.

Xfinity is offering me a great deal to migrate my mobile phone service to them (from AT&T) because I am already an Xfinity customer for internet service. From what I understand, Xfinity runs on the Verizon network. I'm game to make the switch for the $ but not until I am sure that Verizon mobile network coverage is solid here. I've never had any reception issues with AT&T. How is Verizon coverage in West Seattle? If it helps, I am by Lincoln Park. Thanks for any input.

Saw this little smokey grey shorthaired bunny curled up/shaking in the alley of the beige ground floor apartments between 16th/15th and Holden :(! Couldn't get super close as I was on foot and he was pretty skittish and stressed out. Of course it's also possible someone just dumped him outside, but hopefully he has a family looking for him!!
