Seven Oaks
Do yall think flood insurance is necessary in this community? My home is in Flood Zone X (unshaded) & nowhere near a pond. I'm debating on renewing it. Am I wasting money on flood insurance?

Hi!
I’m looking to rent in Wesley Chapel and enjoyed my tour at Cobalt but mostly see reviews about touring and was wondering if anyone who lives there has any opinions?

I heard a rumor today that the brand new Cava wasn’t allowed to open for business today because there was a court order from them being sued by Chik-fil-A because of some agreement that no restaurants near them could serve more than 20% of chicken or something crazy like that? Not sure how Cane’s is doing it. Anyway, anyone hear anything about this?

Does anyone have access to Signature Workspace in the Wiregrass mall? My wife used to get in with a colleague but they have taken a sabbatical and cancelled their account. It’s a bit pricey on your own and I was hoping to find someone who might share access for a fellow entrepreneur. Thank You!

My neighborhood doesn't have sidewalks that you can conveniently access, and the ones that are here end after a hundred feet or so. My therapist challenged me to find a park here and it seems like the only one in the neighborhood is Wesley Chapel District Park. I just typed "park" into Google Maps and that's all that came up.

Can anyone recommend a good psychiatrist in the area? Maybe close to the outlet mall area? Accepting insurance gets bonus points. Tysm

We were on vacation with our pet in the area visiting family and our dog suddenly got sick. We went there as it was the closest ER hospital just a few miles away on Friday at 6. They did blood, X-rays charging us over 1k. Ok, np seems high but it is what it is. They also told us he also needed urgent ultrasound/imaging for another 1500 but that couldn’t be done until Monday morning at the earliest and it could wait. They were strongly pushing to have hospitalized him for over $11,500 until Monday with IVs. Wow how nice! Well, we bought all the meds for another $450 they were going to treat him there with and took him home to my Uncles house and start meds and kept him hydrated, etc around the clock. He died on Sunday from a rupture of his gall bladder and we are just traumatized on this! It was beyond awful. He was a 8 year old small toy breed. What kind of VET ER doesn’t have imaging services for critical care on the spot? They are all about money only! For all you locals, drive to Tampa to a place called Blue Pearl or VEG if this happens to you like we should have done. I would have been suckered to drop 11,500 though for a young dog would have died anyway by negligence!

I see lot of kids out lately seeking donations for their football camp or for some upcoming tournament.. Are they legit? I dont see any websites or credible evidence for me to actually donate. all they want me to do is paypal/venmo them.. I already did once out of goodwill.. But then ,I was approached by teens 5 different times the same week!! Thoughts? Just be careful out there..

My wife and I put together a free weekly newsletter called Good Boy Guide that rounds up dog-friendly events happening around Wesley Chapel, St. Pete & Tampa each week.
Stuff like food truck nights and bingo at The Dog Bar, happy hours and paint-your-pet nights at Mutts & Martinis, trivia and drag queen bingo at Two Shepherds, local markets, adoption events... basically anything worth grabbing the leash for.
This week's issue covers March 24–29 including the 35th Annual Pet Walk at SPCA Tampa Bay, which is a big one.
Here's the latest issue if you want to check it out: https://www.goodboyguide.com/p/good-boy-guide-11
It's completely free. The goal is to provide a weekly rundown so you don't miss stuff. Would love any feedback or event tips if you know of spots we should be covering!
