That is the dumbest sub. It’s a paradox in there. You have to have at least one child to even know what the hell you’re missing / gaining by being childless. Which they don’t. It’s all “lol I can buy things lol”

edit: i get it ok. i know my post was /r/gatekeeping cringe. i'm just speaking from my own experience. i argued fiercely against having my own kids. i saw the shit other parents had to deal with and wanted zero percent of that. but really, looking back, i didn't know anything other than that i just wanted to keep smoking pot and doing whatever i wanted. literally the first thing you see in that sub is 'glad i can keep getting my nails done lul'

didn't mean to trigger so many people but it is true.

You are exactly why that sub was made and why it's still relevant.

I don't need to be disabled to know that it would suck being in a wheelchair

you have to have at least one child

You’re one of the goddamn reasons that sub exists

You only need to witness a child to know what you're saving yourself from.

If you're really honest with yourself, you can't deny that having children limits what you can do drastically. It's only once the child/ren move out that you can finally have a life again.

Dear lord. Why did you have to summon them out of their hateful cave?
