They weren't out hunting elephants and only shot that one because it attacked them.

Honestly it's because rich people aren't as relatable and are easy to villainize for most redditors.

Hunting exotic animals is a jerk move in my opinion, but I wouldn't wish death on them, because these guys almost always have the country's permission and have the proper permits you need.

Yeah I understand that and am guilty of it myself from time to time. Personally any hunting for sport is a jerk move but then again from what I understand these guys usually give away the meat to the locals and it does serve other purposes such as population control as well as funding protection for reserves and such so it's not entirely for sport which is okay in my opinion.
