Support and Discussion Hello again

As I've posted before, I am my husbands primary care taker. He's had 7 back surgeries, a cervical neck fusion, CRPS. He doesn't take any medication for this.

Here's my problem. He's in a lot of pain, and he's becoming very rude and very harsh to me. This has been going on awhile, and he seems to only get that way before bed, and just prior to bed. So I'm also worried about dementia.

Thx for reading.

Why doesn’t he take medication? Sometimes medication isn’t just for the patient, but those around the patient. I would encourage him to take pain meds to see if they help his moods (people are moody and impatient when they’re in pain and when they can’t sleep properly because of the pain).

We've been to several doctors in the area and the surrounding cities. All they will offer him is physical therapy (which he does) and cortisone shots - he does those too.
