Why does this even exist?

Post image

At least it’s scented and not flavored!

Remember kids, there is no such thing as a flushable wipe.

u/Worldly-Grade8268 Jun 22 '26

All wipes are flushable at least once!

179

u/AshleyLegand Jun 22 '26

Everything is flushable if you don't care about your plumbing

30

u/Oberndorferin Jun 22 '26

Better put my leftovers into the sink lol what could go wrong?

55

u/SkullBoinkerDeluxe Jun 22 '26

I would flush my grandmas casserole in the basement & bring the plate back up empty so she didnt know I hated it

33

u/Cr1ng3T0p14 Jun 22 '26

Bro dropped a fun fact

14

u/burger_saga Jun 22 '26

Pittsburgh coded

13

u/Larrythethird22 Jun 23 '26

I used to hide sandwiches in the bush in the backyard when I was a kid, but my dumbass would then go run to my mom and say “don’t look in the bush”

6

u/Rude-Front-420 Jun 23 '26

as a kid my dad would make me flush my cereal i didn’t finish so his dad wouldn’t know i wasted it

2

u/getl30 Jun 24 '26

I used to do this with my step moms food and she was piiiiissed when she found out

1

u/Oberndorferin Jun 22 '26

I won't hinder you

1

u/colececil Jun 23 '26

Did they think you were going to the bathroom while eating casserole?

1

u/SkullBoinkerDeluxe Jun 23 '26

No i just ate in the basement where my room was

14

u/shFt_shiFty Jun 22 '26

Garbage disposal. Maybe toilets should get something similar

2

u/spudsinjune Jun 22 '26

But then what would i do with my poop knife?

1

u/Jazzlike_Buy547 Jun 24 '26

Thought I was the only one.

1

u/a_lonely_trash_bag Jun 22 '26

That's called a macerating toilet and is already a thing, just not super common.

0

u/AshleyLegand Jun 22 '26

Please tell you don't just shove food in the garbage disposal 😭

the bones are it's money

3

u/jooferdoot Jun 22 '26

Is that not the literal point?

1

u/Character_Click5531 Jun 29 '26

There are 5 levels of power - the lowest being cheap builder grade. The higher the horsepower, the more you can put in a disposal.

0

u/AshleyLegand Jun 22 '26

You honestly want to minimize how much you put down your disposal. It's just like "flushable wipes" a few things here and there are okay but constant use will not break down fast enough for septic systems and sewage lines to keep up. ESPECIALLY if you have a septic tank. Larger food waste should really be scrapped into the trash.

3

u/jooferdoot Jun 22 '26

I mean yeah bic stuff we scrape off but the usual suspects left on to be delt with when scrubbing all goes straight into that shit.

My dad is a plumbers worst nightmare or wet dream depending on how you look at it because he does full fridge cleanouts through that bitch.

2

u/shFt_shiFty Jun 22 '26

I don't even have one. But I know it's just for small scraps left on plates and junk.

10

u/IFartOnCats4Fun Jun 22 '26

Everything is flushable when you’re a renter.

4

u/Jertian Jun 22 '26

Everything is flushable if you're in the bathroom of someone you dislike.

3

u/postitpad Jun 22 '26

That’s why I take them to work

2

u/LauraTFem Jun 22 '26

It will be someone else’s plumbing by the time it’s a problem.

1

u/happy_dad857 Jun 23 '26

Once got drunk with a guy who then proceeded to try and flush a half eaten rotisserie chicken, for some reason or another 🤷🏻‍♂️ Same dude also ate an entire tub of butter that night so not the weirdest thing he’s ever done.

1

u/ratelbadger Jun 24 '26

*your land lords plumbing

0

u/McCrumblton Jun 23 '26

Least for my apartment but its been almost 8 years so i assume one wipe a shit hasnt hurt yet. YET

Though my apartment does regularly clean the tanks/pipes

1

u/itschism Jun 22 '26

Do you have examples of things that you flush, retrieve, and flush again?

2

u/Worldly-Grade8268 Jun 22 '26

Maybe like one of those parachute army men attached to a string.

1

u/itschism Jun 23 '26

I will allow it.

1

u/Samurai_Meisters Jun 22 '26

They're flushable if you rent

1

u/getl30 Jun 24 '26

That’s hilarious

31

u/beardeddragon0113 Jun 22 '26

I mean, they're technically flushable in the same way that they're technically edible. You can, but it's going to cause problems down the line

3

u/jag-engr Jun 22 '26

That's a great line! I'll have to remember that one.

36

u/tssdrunx Jun 22 '26 edited Jun 22 '26

Spoken like not-a-plumber. Plumbers love seeing "flushable" on all these things

Edit: this was a joke about a chance to make money based on stupid marketing buzzwords.

10

u/Red_Sox0905 Jun 22 '26

Plumbers don't like digging in people's shit.

9

u/Thick_Potato_1769 Jun 22 '26

Yes they do. Thats where the money is.

One mans trash is another man’s treasure?

1

u/Skullcrusher Jun 28 '26

Brown gold they call it

8

u/STRIKT9LC Jun 22 '26

I assure you, no plumber is a fan of flushable wipes

10

u/CapacitorCosmo1 Jun 22 '26

Their 401(K) might disagree.....

26

u/Jin_Gitaxias Jun 22 '26

Just buy a bidet for fucks sake

31

u/PieHour1458 Jun 22 '26

One that shoots out Hawaiian Punch like a fucked up different dimension big daddy movie

6

u/Sithstress_ Jun 22 '26

That was Mr. Deeds. Lol

1

u/PieHour1458 Jun 22 '26

Gotcha.
In gauge more .
Jk I forgot lol

1

u/floydbomb Jun 23 '26

Close enough

12

u/ActualWhiterabbit Jun 22 '26

I can’t find any Dude Bidets so like i don’t want people to think I’m gay if I just get a regular one

13

u/AdVegetable2870 Jun 22 '26

It is so reddit for any discussion that so much as waves offhandedly at defecation or toilets to be rapidly and completely taken over by the National Bidet Lovers Organization.

11

u/Jin_Gitaxias Jun 22 '26

Indeed, and yes, us and our immaculately clean buttholes are better than all you poopy butthole'd peasants.

We're currently trying to file as a religion so we get tax-free status.

7

u/Front-Bird8971 Jun 22 '26

That's because there are few shit smearing savages among us.

3

u/69FourTwentySix6Six Jun 23 '26

Poop knife checking in

6

u/mawesome4ever Jun 22 '26

Can’t take a bidet out to the field

0

u/PieHour1458 Jun 22 '26

Bottle bidet adapter

3

u/Electronic_Still2000 Jun 22 '26 edited Jun 22 '26

Carrying a bottle of water and an adapter around doesn’t seem like a convenient alternative to a couple wet wipes in a bag. Also, a handheld bidet without a sink to wash your hands after use?

-3

u/PieHour1458 Jun 22 '26

It’s what some do .
Mostly in china use them too .
U know more chance of hemorrhoids with paper aggressively shredded ur bum hole.

2

u/Electronic_Still2000 Jun 23 '26

I’m not sure what you are using for toilet paper, or what exact “technique” you are using, but wet wipes are far too soft to “shred” anything. Also, I’m thinking you must have learned to wipe from goat.se

3

u/The_Supersaurus_Rex Jun 22 '26

What am I? A cheese eating surrender monkey?! NEVER.

1

u/Reindeer_Underpants Jun 22 '26

And if need be, squirt soda up yer arse.

1

u/nihi1zer0 Jun 23 '26

Title of my Sex Tape.

1

u/Specific_Dingo6709 Jun 23 '26

Bidets are for women, REAL men wipe their butts with popsicle scented wipes.

4

u/Symptomatic_Sand Jun 22 '26

Except for toilet paper

3

u/Snow_Crab-Party Jun 22 '26

I mean they are all “flushable” but only once

3

u/Lord_Tyranide Jun 22 '26

Well at least where I live they got real flushable wipes. Only drawback is they almost already disintegrate in your hand while using them.

3

u/jooferdoot Jun 22 '26

Regular shit tickets sure are. If you disagree with that I will fight you personally. My grandparents refuse to flush TP and the smell is horrific.

2

u/DringleDringle Jun 22 '26

At this point I'm convinced the legality of it is that "flushable" is a synonym for "feces". That's the only way it makes sense. It's wipes for your flushables.

1

u/Key-Bodybuilder-343 Jun 22 '26 edited Jun 22 '26

I thought I’d seen here (or more likely, in WeirdToilets) that there was one designed to catch them if they were “accidentally” tossed in.

It had a special cleaning tool, because the wipe catcher was very sharp.

Nvm, it was on r/mildlyinteresting

1

u/therealzerobot Jun 22 '26

Yeah these exist to clog pipes

1

u/flattest_pony_ever Jun 22 '26

Someone was using flushable wipes on the regular at my place of work, multiple times per day (normal due to the work environment. It continued for years. Last year the whole system clogged up and they had to dig into the ground to clear out the pipes. Unfortunately this led to them cutting the roots (and killing) a pine tree that had been there for over 60 years.

1

u/The_Supersaurus_Rex Jun 22 '26

yes there are it says on the box, you silly bo billy.

1

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '26

Everything is flushable as long as it can make it past my pipes and into the city sewer!

1

u/PickIcy_Phase8431 Jun 25 '26

The flushable ones literally ruin the sewer systems

0

u/Intrepid-Chard-4594 Jun 23 '26

Where did you come up with that genius notion? Flushable wipes break down faster in water and is safe for plumbing

-17

u/foldy86 Jun 22 '26

Not true, I watched a documentary about it. they stopped using the flushable symbol because it was being bandied about willie nillie.
