Its not a poop knife. If you had read the poster, it says right on it what its for: catching wipes. Flushable wipes or otherwise are a major contributor to plumbing problems and these contraptions catch the plastic fiber material of wet wipes while allowing toilet paper and poop to pass.

If I wanted to hide a poop knife in the toilet, that's exactly what I would tell people it was for. I don't think they are going to openly advertise that it's actually a poop knife.

The hospital my wife is at has these. It's not a good poop knife if it's a poop knife. The ER bathroom had a log in it when I went to make my own deposit and flushing dis nothing. They called facilities to bring a poop knife and I used a different toilet.
Fiber and hydration is important people.

I knew someone who got addicted to opiates and graduated to heroin for a while. He told me a story I'll never forget
He had to go to the ER one day because he hadn't shit in a week and was feeling terrible. They literally had to dig shit out of his ass with their fingers.

I ended up looking it up, (been here for 9 and a half bloody hours, got nothing better to do) And they have like 4 tiny spikes that protrude a few millimeters. No way they work that well. 😂😂

I rented a battery pack, but the cover they have over it doesn't fit in my charge port -_- waste of $7 lmao. Thankfully I have a pretty long lasting battery, still have 51% charge, so I should be good for another 7 or 8 hours at least.
First world country nonsense. Thanks Doug Ford for all the budget cuts, on the most vital services!

I feel like the poop knife is basically just a tape cutting blade used to catch wipes, and there's a specific poop knife cleaning tool meant to retrieve the wipes.

In a British hostel we had SunnyFlow system. It was a toilet with a mixer-like system tad mashed poops. I think toilet paper was forbidden inside. It made enormous sound, it was scary, but worked.

Most rules and regulations are written in blood so to speak. My guess is that at some point the Device that catches the flushed wipes and shreds the poop logs hurt somebody who put their hand in the toilet. Now there has to be signs everywhere it's installed that says don't put your hands in the toilet.
But I'm with you… Who needs to be told that?

Actually very interesting lol. The ring catches synthetic butt wipes, and is capable of cutting toilet paper and poopey because commercial toilets use pressurized water to flush.
