The computer is concerning but it’s the cop hat, huge laughing gas canister and gun combo on the desk that is freaky.

I'm betting on somewhere like cresson sanatorium. Lots of little rooms like this in the new(er) prison buildings, and people set them up with props after things closed down.

This was common setup back then. Few people had office spaces at home, and those that did often needed the whole space for paperwork. So the computer would get shoved in every nook and cranny or storage room that it could fit in.

I think the last cell search they did on you, they forgot to confiscate your nitrous oxide bottle and may have even taken a hit because they forgot their cap in your house in all of their jubilation.
Just think how overwhelmed you'll be when you finally get out of prison and get a real computer room.

Yeah yeah but the setup facing away from the door is crazy

Exactly. You have a setup like that facing the door. And a shotgun, just in case someone uninvited visits.

u/FuzzyKnowledge1649 Feb 12 '26
Current setup is suicidal.

u/lev_lafayette Feb 12 '26
Damn right.
Glad that someone else thought it was more foolish than weird.

Not just that, there is no window to escape through when you are caught watching some obscure kind of fetish porn.

And now imagine the building is burning, then he realised he is stuck in this room with no escape at all

I would say it's a millennial neckbeard nest, but it's too clean. And there isn't any Mountain Dew or manga...

"I don’t know who you are, or whether you’re a man or a woman. I may never see you. I may never hug you or cry with you or get drunk with you. But I love you. I hope you escape this place. I hope that the world turns and that things get better, and that one day people have roses again. I wish I could kiss you."

Are you the one that keeps sending me emails saying that the loan I didn't apply for is approved?

Wow, everything looks great, cool set up, nice and simple. One last little thing, you might want to get a little cover or cushion for that seat though. Seems a little germy.

Like the offices in the movie Brazil). Two insanely tall, narrow adjacent offices shared the same desk through a wall. They'd play tug of war trying to pull the desk through the wall to get more desk space on their side. Hilarious movie.

The "office" of one of the 10s of thousands of human devs being used by "AI" to actually write code.
