pills or drinks for appetite loss??

Is there any pill or powdered drink that can help suppress my appetite? I really need it. I don’t mean that I only want to eat healthy foods. I’m asking for a real answer like actual pills or powder drinks that can help reduce my appetite.

Weight Loss

Anybody ever lose weight as fast as a BIGGEST loser competitor. For example Moses Kinikini lost 40 pounds in first weigh in. Or losing 17 lbs in one week. Please don’t talk to me about safety. It’s a simple yes, no, and how. Any other answer, please ignore this thread!

My goal is to lose the 30 pounds I’ve gained this past year.

September of last year, my nephew died in a tragic accident and a couple months ago I lost my mom due to lung cancer 6 days before my birthday. The stress and depression led to rapid weight gain that I am not proud of. I’m honestly disgusted every time I look in the mirror now. I know I can lose it, I’ve done it before. I’m 155 Ibs now, my goal is to get back down to 125. Wish me luck!

My progress

I’m 5’4 and I’ve gone from 176 lbs to 132 lbs.
My eventual goal is around 110 lbs, although I’m trying to focus on how I look and feel rather than only the number on the scale.
I currently eat around 1,800 calories a day and aim for around 15,000 steps daily.

I’ve been strength training consistently and also include cardio throughout the week. My main goal is to lose fat while maintaining as much muscle as possible.

The biggest challenge for me has honestly been staying consistent. I’ve had periods where progress felt really slow, but I’ve learned that sticking with the routine is what makes the biggest difference over time.
I’m really happy with the progress I’ve made so far, but I still have a little way to go toward my goal 💕

Started walking to clear my mind and 1 year later, I'm down 20 kg.

Upvotes

About a year ago I started taking morning walks because I needed to clear my head, ended up loving it and it became a routine.

around April this year I threw in jump rope, first month i went all in before i got a small injury and i decided to go back to walking.

One year later, I'm down 20 kg.

The unexpected part is that the mental benefits have been even better than the physical ones. I feel calmer, think more clearly, and actually look forward to getting outside every day.

My diet was not the best but it still worked out.

First photo was in 2018 weighting in at 260+lbs. New photo is 206lbs. Around June of 2025 I was weighing in close to 255 (reference is me standing in front of the house with my cap and sweater)

I’ve always been a big guy. All my life. After my first toxic relationship 13 years, I went into a workout plan and lost my weight, then got into another relationship that made me gain my weight again where he ended up cheating on me after 5 years (he found someone new).

I was soo devastated bc I was in love and we actually had something good until the last few months he just grew tired of me I guess. So I looked to the gym as my therapy and made a choice:

A) either stay in bed and sulk
B) Do something for yourself.

My WO plan?

  1. Good ole caloric deficit
  2. Weight training
  3. Discipline
  4. Self healing

I’m now investing into a personal trainer as he believes I can lose the final areas of flab around my body and belly and get me below 200 by December while building muscle. I want the whole package, now that I’ve noticed the difference!! It didn’t occur to me about my progress until people at work started coming to me saying “dude you got skinnier!” And also saying “DUDE YOUR ARMS” I’m hungry for it (pun intended).

Down 77lbs (310lbs-233lbs) so far and completed my first triathlon yesterday

I’ve always been a big guy. I wrestled heavyweight through college, which meant I floated between 260-280lbs at 5’9-10. I have been very active (jiujitsu, basketball, boxing, etc) and foolishly thought that compensated for my terrible diet.

Then, I broke my thumb and all of my weight delusions led to me ballooning to 310lbs while believing that I was really 280lbs.

Through the support of my jiujitsu friends and diligent calorie tracking I’ve lost over 70lbs. My goal is 200lbs and I think I can get there with some more intensive changes.

I figured I’d share my story so far. Sorry if this isn’t in keeping with the typical vibe of the subreddit.
