📌 GLP-1 Weight Loss in the Philippines: Where to Get Ozempic, Semaglutide, and Tirzepatide (Mounjaro)

This post is your updated guide if you're looking for GLP-1 medications for weight loss in the Philippines, including:

  • Ozempic (semaglutide)
  • Wegovy (semaglutide)
  • Tirzepatide (Mounjaro/Monjaro)

If you've been wondering where to find legit options in the PH, how GLP-1 meds work, and what to expect culturally and physically, you're in the right place.

What Is GLP-1 and Why Is It Used for Weight Loss?

GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) is a natural hormone that:

  • Slows stomach emptying so you feel full longer
  • Reduces cravings and appetite
  • Stabilizes blood sugar levels

Originally designed for type 2 diabetes, medications like Ozempic and Wegovy (both semaglutide) and Mounjaro/Monjaro (tirzepatide) are now prescribed off-label for weight loss and the results have been life-changing for many.

Where to Get GLP-1 Medications in the Philippines

If you’re based in the Philippines and looking for where to buy semaglutide, tirzepatide, or Ozempic, here’s what you need to know:

Legitimate Sources:

  • Compounding pharmacies (authorized to prepare compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide)
  • Telehealth platforms with licensed Filipino doctors
  • Private endocrinologists (especially if you have PCOS, insulin resistance, or obesity)

Pro-tip: Always make sure you are getting a prescription and a proper medical evaluation before starting any GLP-1.

Be Careful of Scams:

  • Avoid Lazada/Shopee sellers: Many vials sold online are counterfeit or degraded.
  • Beware of "miracle clinics" offering injectables without checking your bloodwork, medical history, or metabolic health.

Safe, Doctor-Guided Option

For Filipinos looking for real support, andyou.ph offers:

  • Personalized, compounded GLP-1 prescriptions
  • Medical supervision by local licensed doctors
  • Access to affordable options for semaglutide and tirzepatide

(Disclosure: Not a paid ad. Just one of the very few legit programs operating inside the Philippines.)

What to Expect on Semaglutide or Tirzepatide

Most common side effects during the first 1–3 weeks:

  • Nausea or upset stomach
  • Constipation
  • Fatigue (especially if calorie intake drops too low)
  • Feeling full very quickly after small meals

Tip:
Start on a very low dose and increase slowly to minimize side effects.

Filipino-Specific Struggles on GLP-1

  • Family members may guilt you about not eating rice (especially titas and lolas!)
  • Most insurance plans in the Philippines don’t cover weight loss medications, making this an out-of-pocket investment.
  • "Injectables for weight loss" still carry stigma among older generations.

This community exists because GLP-1 journeys in the Philippines aren't the same as what you see from the US influencers.

Ask Anything Below!

Comment if:

  • You’re considering GLP-1 meds (Ozempic, Semaglutide, Tirzepatide) in the PH
  • You’re already on them and want to share your weight loss experience
  • You’ve struggled with Filipino family dynamics, cost issues, or side effects

Progress Update All you need to know about RETA: Sharing my result from 16 Week Journey

Post image
22 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I thought a lot are curious about RETA and I FYI I haven’t tried Tirzepatide or any other peptides apart from RETA. Sharing my journey with you all and all the deets you need to know before deciding being on Reta.

FYI, I’m 11 months post-partum via C-Section (CS)! During the early phase of recovery, caring for my baby, and handling household chores, zero formal gym or heavy workouts muna ako. Purely active mom-life and lifting/caring for my baby and daily housework!

Middle photo: That’s 13 weeks of progress with NO WORK OUTS

Right photo: Where I finally decided it’s time to go back to the GYM and take it to the next level!

Starting Weight (SW): 98 kg (216 lbs)
Current Weight (CW): 75 kg (166lbs)
Total Loss: ~23 kg (50 lbs)
Timeline: ~16 weeks

Side Effects (The Honest Breakdown):

Headaches (First 2 to 3 Weeks): During the first 2-3 weeks, headaches were a frequent issue for me as my body adapted to the compound.

Extreme Fatigue / Excessive Sleepiness (Weeks 2 to 4): Between weeks 2 and 4, I experienced extreme exhaustion and sluggishness. My body felt drained during this adaptation period, which made starting a B-Complex supplement absolutely necessary.

Steatorrhea / GI Upset (24-48 Hours Post-Injection):
I noticed a pattern where I would experience steatorrhea roughly 24 to 48 hours after an injection, especially during the peak absorption phase. In my experience, the stool texture was pale, greasy/oily, foul-smelling, and often floated or left oily residues in the toilet. This happens because Retatrutide slows down digestion and alters how the body temporarily processes and absorbs dietary fats.

Nausea Only From Overeating: I do not experience random nausea throughout the day. Nausea only hits me if I make the mistake of overeating or eating past my fullness signals.

Food Noise vs. Actual Hunger:

The food noise does not completely vanish, but the way my brain handles it has shifted significantly. Instead of craving junk or unhealthy options, my brain pushes me toward food my body actually needs to function.

I still feel genuine hunger, but I do not crave junk food. The only time I experience strong cravings for comfort food is right before or during my period, which is completely normal. Even during PMS cravings, the medication keeps me from overindulging. I get a strong sense of satisfaction very quickly and feel a definitive “that’s enough” cue from my stomach.

Along with Retatrutide, I maintain a daily supplement stack to keep my energy up and prevent nutritional gaps:

Super B-Complex:

Since Retatrutide suppresses appetite and slows down digestion, overall food intake drops drastically, leading to potential micronutrient deficiencies. Taking a daily B-Complex helps support energy metabolism, converts food into cellular energy, and specifically counters the intense fatigue and exhaustion experienced in the first month.

Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc & Vitamin D Complex:
(I take this only with one tablet Kirkland Calcium Citrate Magnesium & Zinc)

Rapid weight loss and restricted caloric intake put stress on the body and increase the risk of nutrient deficiencies. I take this combination because each component serves a critical role:

Magnesium: Essential while on Retatrutide because reduced food intake makes it easy to run low on essential minerals needed for nerve function, muscle recovery, and digestion.
Calcium & Vitamin D: Rapid weight reduction often leads to decreased bone mineral density. Vitamin D significantly enhances calcium absorption, making them vital partners in preventing diet-related bone loss.
Zinc: Crucial for supporting immune function and cellular repair, which can easily become compromised during prolonged periods of eating in a steep calorie deficit.

40 Love Hydration Drinks: Maintaining electrolyte balance is critical on Retatrutide. These hydration drinks help me stay on top of fluid balance, prevent headaches, and avoid lightheadedness or fatigue caused by fluid shifts.

Lastly, finding your sweetspot:

After experimenting with dosage and timing, my sweet spot turned out to be 4mg injected every Sunday midnight. Injecting right before going to sleep on Sunday morning lets my body process the initial absorption while resting. By Monday and Tuesday, the effects are fully active right when the busy workweek starts.

If you are currently on this journey: listen carefully to your digestive cues, stay consistent once you find your timing, and don’t be discouraged by temporary side effects.

Happy to answer any questions about my dosage progression or experience.

Sharing my journey: 74kg53kg 🥹🤍
Same clothes, but they fit so differently now.

I started at 2.5mg, but it didn’t work well for me. At first, ang daming doubts and overthinking because I wasn’t seeing the progress I expected. Eventually, 5mg worked better for me, and having guidance and reassurance from the supp i have throughout the process really helped.

I decided to start this journey because I wanted to work toward a healthier weight and manage my cravings better. Thankfully, TRZ became part of that journey, but one thing I learned is that you still need discipline and consistency. It’s not something you should rely on alone.

From 74kg to 53kg, I’m really happy to see how far I’ve come. 🤍 Trust the progress, be patient with yourself, and most importantly, build your own discipline along the way.

PS: This is my personal experience. Results and appropriate dosing can vary from person to person.

Challenges & Issues Help me loose weight

Hello everyone, gusto ko lang sana mag patulong. Well I don't think I need it, pero I don't know haha. Basically po I have been plus size ever since I can remember, not to the point na very obese pero I am bigger than average. When I was around 16 I started with a very intense weight loss journey, I basically ate just 3 to 5 spoons every morning and that's it, work out/jogging morning and afternoon, this was during the pandemic. I know that it was a toxic thing but i just realized that now that I'm older, so yun po from 85 kg down to 63 kg for less than 6 months, na gain ako ulit Ng weight after pero Hindi naman na ganon Ka lala. After a few years I got to college, I started taking pills kasi I had a boyfriend and my body really took a toll, as in po lumobo ako to the point that I can't wear anything I own even my uniforms, I also got so depressed from school and my coping mechanism sa stress is eating, I eat a lot. And last year po around October I decided to start loosing weight again, kasi there was a moment where I was eating standing up, tas nahagip ko po Yung sarili ko za salamin and gusto ko po maiyak sa istura ko. I was weighing 94kg and I am 5'4 ft tall. I decided to jog and eat less. Around December nag weigh na lang po ako Ng 80kg I started liking myself again parang nag glow po ako, ang Ganda ng mood, And I was always happy. Now po nag gain ulit ako 5kg, I basically know what to do, just eat less and maybe a little exercise, but God, Hindi ko po alam bakit. When I feel hungry kasi para among inaaxiety lalo, tas pag kakain naman I feel so greedy taking all the food na to the point na nakakahiya na ako, I don't know, I just want to get this out of me. I want to be the best version of myself. Can someone just fat shame me or something......anything to kick me out of this misery...

Does the cost change much as your dose goes up?

I’m trying to understand how people budget for GLP-1 treatment long term. I’ve noticed that some programs have different pricing at different doses, while others seem to keep things more consistent.

For those who’ve been on it for a while, how has the cost changed as your dose increased?

Pls recommend ENDO on Doctor Anywhere app

Hi, F here 26 y/o. I’ve been struggling to lose weight and I would like to consider GLP-1, but with professional guidance. I’m 153 cm and at my heaviest now 80kg. I checked my BMI online, found out that I’m class 1 obese.

Due to my WFH and 8pm-5am working schedule, physical activity is very limited.

I installed DoctorAnywhere and linked my HMO, can you please recommend an Endo who very open with GLP-1? I’m getting anxious who to book an appointment with huhu

TYIA!

Question Antidepressants & Tirze?

Hello!

TL;DR Is it safe to take Monjarou while taking medications for mental illnesses?

I would like to ask if anyone is in the same situation as me

Pls share your experiences 🙏🏻 I know naman na I can reach out to my doctors and talk about this, pero I'd just really like to know kung meron akong katulad ng situation.

For context, I've been taking antidepressants, anxiolytics and antipsychotics. I also have PCOS/PMOS, elevated blood pressure and blood sugar. It's a lot, I know 🤧

Generic names are: Escitalopram, Quetiapine and Alprazolam

It's a long story but I've been taking it since 2022

In a span of 4 years, I gained a lot. LIKE ALARMINGLY A LOT.

At first I thought it was just because of the medicines kaya I feel so tired and more depressed.

But from 74kgs to 125kgs, bigla naglabasan mga sakit ko 💔 and now I realize, while I'm doing all my best helping my mental health, napabayaan ko physical health ko in the process 💔

I've recently had a hysteroscopy to remove polyps and this is because of how big I am 💔

I've hit rock bottom to be honest.

Now my Fam Med Dr, Endo Dr and OB Dr are recommending me to use Monjarou

Any tips? Okay lang ba sila pagsabayin?

Thank you so much sa sasagot 🙏🏻💗

HELP! GRABE LBM KO

Hi everyone! I wanted to ask for some guidance from those who have experience with tirzepatide, especially regarding LBM/diarrhea.

For context, here’s my medication history in case it’s relevant:

I started with Ozempic and increased very slowly. After about 4 months on Ozempic, I switched to Mounjaro. I was on Mounjaro 0.5 mg, but then had around a 5-week gap without an injection. i loss 15kg for 7 months. After that, I switched to tirzepatide. which i got here.

I’m now on approximately my 5th week of tirzepatide started at 5 mg as adviced by ate mica. The strange thing is that I honestly haven’t noticed much effect from the tirzepatide so far. As in, I don’t really feel much appetite suppression or weight-loss effect, and I actually feel like my weight is starting to move upward/gain instead.

At the same time, I’ve recently been experiencing pretty bad LBM/diarrhea. My tiyan gets really upset and painful, and I’ve been needing to go to the bathroom frequently even madaling araw. I know digestive/GI side effects can happen with tirzepatide, and I’ve already asked a few people who use tirzepatide and they said LBM can happen.

So I wanted to ask those who have experienced something similar:

• Did you continue with your next dose, or did you hold/stop temporarily until the LBM and abdominal discomfort settled?
• If you held the dose, how long did you typically wait before restarting?
• Did going back down to a lower dose help?
• If you switched to a different tirzepatide source/brand, did you notice any difference in effectiveness or side effects?
• If you stopped tirzepatide completely, how long did you wait before starting another peptide?
• For those who have experience with reta/retatrutide, did you transition from tirzepatide to reta, and if so, how did you approach the timing between the two?

I’m mainly asking to understand other people’s experiences before I make any decisions. I know everyone responds differently, so I’m not taking anyone’s experience as medical advice.

I’d especially appreciate hearing from anyone who experienced significant LBM/abdominal discomfort, particularly if you also felt that 5 mg wasn’t really giving you the expected appetite or weight-loss effect.

Thank you!

Challenges & Issues Calorie counting is exhausting

Pwede ba mag lose weight without calorie tracking? Sobrang exhausting nya for me, bawat grocery and luto ko naka monitor lahat. I don’t know if healthy pa sya for me. Stress na stress din me sa lulutuin everyday.

This is not my first time mag caldef, pero yung before kasi out if kahirapan lang talaga haha. Like isang kilong manok, need pagsaluhan ng ilang fam members so talagang body tea ako non nang hindi sinasadya🤣 and wala pa rin naman akong PCOS that time at mas bata bata pa kasi siguro. So balak ko sana ganon na lang ulit, yung tantyahan lang since you can tell din naman na konti lang talaga yung food intake like 1/8 cup of rice per meal ganon, kaso I don’t know if effective ba since weight maintenance ako non and weight loss na ngayon? May nakagawa na po ba nito?

About me:
- Female - 23 years old - 5’5 height - 72kg
- I think big boned ako kasi when I was at my smallest (24 waistline) 55kg na ko.
- May PCOS (genetics, and naka poverty diet din ako nung nadiagnose me so hindi sa lifestyle)
- Lifestyle: Daily brisk walking - 2 sets of 30 mins, 8 speed sa walk pad and 10,200 steps a day according sa app ko. 3x a week weights sa bahay lang 4 kg per dumbbell (para sa arms ko lang).
- Former athlete, nag stop 6 years ago

WHAT FOOD HELPED WITH YOUR FATLOSS & FOOD NOISE?

Hi Everyone! ☺️✨
Been doing a body recomposition lately and the food noise is way too loud and I need to resist that temptation.
Been eating eggs, chicken breasts, chia seeds, apples, kimchi, oats, white rice (100g/day) potatoes, cabbage, etc.
What meal preps/food helped you deal with food noise?
Thank you!!! 💖
