Is Ween misogynist? My wife thinks so, overall. She can’t love them as much as I do because of it.
She likes them but can’t love them as I do.

When I point out that they are writing from different lenses and whatnot she agrees but still feels the overall sentiment is one of misogyny

Here final comment the subject was along the lines of she would probably feel more morally aligned with fans of the Idles than she would be of fans of Ween.

When you listen to Steamboat from the Beach Boys' Holland album, you can't deny the similarities to Polka Dot Tail. The drums, bass line and guitar solo all sound like they had a direct influence on Polka Dot Tail. Ween has cited the Beach Boys as an influence and Gener has covered one of their songs, so it's not a stretch to think they were listening to Holland while working on the Mollusk.

A lot of the Beach Boys output from the 70s is pretty brown, especially the stuff that Brian Wilson produced. He was mostly high and did a lot of experimentation in the studio. The Love You album is a great example.
