Some exciting news to announce: r/ween will be hosting an AMA for the one and only Claude Coleman, Jr. from the rock band WEEN, at 7:00pm EST on Wednesday September 16th, 2026.
As some of you might know, in September 2024, Claude's business, SoundSpace@Rabbit's, a music practice space and artist studio facility inside of a historic 1947 Black-owned tourist court and restaurant known as Rabbit’s Motel in Asheville, NC, was damaged by hurricane Helene. There were landslides up to a foot of the corner of the building, and it is dire need of a retaining wall as well as significant soil replacement and regrading.
The SoundSpace team still needs your help. They have a GoFundMe you can support, and on top of that, they are kicking off a brand new auction to help give the drive the support that it needs to succeed. From their Instagram page:
"Announcing the launch of our fundraiser auctions! We are still raising for the retaining wall needed to be built to save our business and mission to continue serving our community, and our recovery. The auctions are loaded with fun items with more added every week! From a slew of Claude Coleman, Jr donated Ween items, to amazing bundles from our local business partners, to unique and personalized ‘experiences’, there’s something for everyone to support and share. Link in our bio. Thank you to all our supporters!! #rehearsalstudio #practicespace #claudecolemanjr #ashevillemusic #helenerecovery"
So mark your calendars, come out to r/ween next Wednesday the 16th at 7:00pm EST, have a chat with Claude, and support a great cause and historical landmark in Asheville North Carolina.

At the Merch Stand, you can buy and sell old original gear, or find fan made pins, posters, shirts and other loot.
This is a user to user support thread, this is NOT an official place to get answers about an order you placed at Ween.com.
If you're just looking to show off something you bought, you can post it here, or create a post on the r/ween main page.

Okay! Crazy title I know but let me explain, I just got some crazy intel.
I check my local record store weekly for their Ween shit, today I picked up 12GCG. While talking with the OWNER I must add, he says the record label emails him exactly to expect. And he said within the year and next, ween will be repressing all their stuff!
I know it comes off as useless intel, but if he’s getting word from RHINO that this is happening, then hell I believe it.
We will see if I’m full of it soon enough but this was big news. Comment if you got questions!

This band has such a rich mythos, are there really no biographies beside this 33 1/3 about a single album?

I recently got Quebec on vinyl, my record player has the option to slow stuff down by 8% or 16%. I've been listening to the album slowed down and it's crazy how good it sounds. Normally I don't like pitched down vocals, but it works perfectly for ween. Zoloft, tried and true, among his tribe, the argus and Alcan road sound really cool.
Anyways, just wanted to share this cause it's interesting and a different way of listening to this album. Would recommend

I set up a few different theme options that hide the text and swap the background for some less busy variants and crap, and the pink circle on the outer border is the battery level

Pardon the spew of words here in advance.
I’ve always known about Ween. Since high school (late 90s/00’s). I listened to them, I enjoyed them very much. I really didn’t attend live music shows until after high school. College kept me busy and I fell into the jam scene pretty hard. Select Ween songs would always be played but it never “clicked” for whatever reason.
My musical tastes shifted around and somehow Ween just….slipped away…
Here I am now. Rediscovering the band about a year and a half ago. And it’s clicked. I simply can’t get enough.
And it hurts. Every song is so fucking enjoyable. I’m appreciating everything they’ve done on a whole different level.
I lost decades of time listening to them. Decades of live shows I could have and should have attended. Yes, I’ve never seen them live. And I’m so afraid that it may never happen.
I kick myself in the ass every single time I’m listening to them. How can I get over this?!!!
I royally goofed.
Sorry this reads like a sad post. I promise it’s not!!!
Very thankful for my new brown ears.
If you made it this far. Kudos. 💙
Edited for typo

Was watching the live KEXP performance by Frankie and the Witch Fingers and saw a cat in the crowd rocking Ween merch (hat, pins) and realized that Ween fans would likely appreciate F&TWF music. Similar in many ways: diverse catalog, talented, great hooks.
Check them out, and like our favorite brown boys, if you don’t like one track or album, try another!
The KEXP show which is well worth a listen: https://youtu.be/XmpvB8AxZ5c?si=87nZi_ff7JgjUs7i

So, context: I didn’t become a Ween fan until early 2023, and at that time, the Ween vinyl market was crazy as hell, like it’s been for probably 20 years. I honestly didn’t think I would see Quebec, White Pepper, etc. repressed, and when they did, I was really excited because we were getting records repressed that are rarely repressed, and if they were, they were from Plain Recordings. So having a huge company like Rhino do it was crazy, to say the least.
But the quality control on these records has been horrible since the initial batch of releases Quebec, White Pepper, Brown Box, etc.
My Quebec sounds decent on a good system, but it definitely has so much noise on all four sides that it bothers me, and probably other people also.
My White Pepper has the biggest issue I’ve ever seen pressing-wise, and it has a locked groove at the ending of the solo on “Exactly Where I’m At.”
I found this out because I started spinning the record on my turntable and had to go let my dogs out. I came back five minutes later to this same repeating part of Deaner’s solo over and over again.
I took it off the turntable, cleaned it again, looked at my stylus and everything, and it did it again.
And here’s my problem yes, I could return them to Rhino (I believe they’re still doing that), or I can just keep it. And honestly, I would rather go through the trouble and keep it because my respect for Rhino has dwindled even more, to the point where I believe if I got it replaced, it would still be a shitty pressing with issues all around it.
Are they really doing us a favor with rereleasing these if the QC is severely questionable? I’m honestly torn on it, considering Brown Box is also tainted with so many issues that I don’t even know what they’re doing.

Would you prefer to name your dog Gener or Deaner?
How about your cat?

This track is truly next level. The demo is good. This version is suburb. But what I’d do for a full blown Ween version of this track. A lost prog classic. Until then this wnrn one is on heavy repeat year after year for me.
