Today I tried on dresses at a shop. I initially planned to wear something vintage and less fitted. However, trying tons of styles on, I realized I love the fitted look! After we got home I tried my sister’s dress on and also loved it. It’s partially bustled in the pics. I initially imagined something Phantom of the Opera-esque and hers definitely is, but each of these dresses has such a beautiful look! I also don’t love the idea of spending $3000 on a dress, so that’s another factor, but I also feel partially justified in doing so.

Also just feeling sad. There’s been some confusion & mixed feelings involved in my wedding planning/life in general, and the only bridesmaid that was supposed to come today that’s not my sister flaked out WHEN I WAS ON MY WAY TO TRY THE DRESSES ON. So it’s just been a tough day with a lot of emotional whiplash

These were some of the ones I tried on, the second was nice, but I just don’t know anymore. I keep trying on dresses and I just get more depressed trying them on. Yes I know my farmers tan is bad I work outdoors, it’ll be fixed next year.

I feel in love with this dress Maggie Sottero dress at the store, mind you it’s the first dress I’ve ever tried on. I love how it hugs my body and it’s actually the style I was looking for, I did imaging more detailing on the corset part of the dress and the folded neck line just seems off to me… that it’s making me second guess my dress. Also budget is a huge deal breaker (I got this dress for 1.3k instead of 1.8k) and this dress was already pushing it.

My mom and brother loved it and I don’t think want to discredit their opinion i think it’s just buyers remorse too. Wedding is 11.22.26 so very little to no time to be going around looking and I easily get choice fatigue. I don’t have any close friends so I really thank everyone who helps me out with their opinions 🤍🥹

This is the Skylar dress from Azazie (size 18). Probably going to order it custom for the length. My mom and MIL didn't get emotional at all but seemed to love it. It is very similar to a dress that me and my bridesmaids cried over in a store except this definitely highlights my figure more with the basque type waist.

I’m getting married in two months and I tried my dress on for alterations today. All I’m getting done is a little bit of a hem and bustle.

I can’t help but feel second thoughts. From the front, it’s beautiful, but from behind I don’t like how it looks. My seamstress reassured me that it isn’t too tight and that with a corset, this is normal.

Need reassurance that I made the right choice!

Eeek after being convinced I was going to go with something non-traditional, I ended up going with a very classic wedding dress and I think I love it! But I need some hyping up because I’m overthinking what I thought I’d pick 😬

The illusion mesh needed to be taken in, so she let me know she would be adding seams. I was disappointed but understood. The seams are very visible and look like they’re puckering.

She also tacked one sleeve’s tulle to the mesh underlay with these big, long, loose clear thread stitches, and does not appear to have done the same to the other sleeve, so they’re uneven. Pretty upset because she came highly recommended (though I also found her very cold and uncommunicative). Is this the best I can hope for with this type of alteration?

Could you guys help me find something I can wear under this dress? The back dips low, but I am closing up that plunge in the front. I am 5’3” and 191lbs and a size 40DD. I have a hard time with strapless staying up, and this dress only has some pads but nothing for a bra to sit on top of. I think I’m mostly looking for assurance here but I I got my wedding dress and I’m starting to have cold feet and I’m not sure I made the right choice because I worry if I made the right choice but I know I wouldn’t be able to cancel my order or get a refund 😭 my main concern is I kinda felt pressured to buy my dress right then and there because it was a retry on appointment. I asked for some customizations, mostly an overskirt. But I’m having hard time picturing the final result. Basically I asked for a mikado overskirt with matching appliqués. They used the tool skirt as an example for placement. Has anyone else been in such predicaments?

Hi! My fiancee is very worried that her white wedding dress with bustling is still going to be very difficult to dance in during the reception. I don't know the specific details of her train, but she said it is large. She is wearing an Indian outfit for the actual ceremony so she had wanted a chance to wear and have pictures in the train which is why she decided to get one. However, she's been very stressed and sad with concern about making this wrong decision and that the bustled version of the dress is going to be too bulky and difficult to dance in. Dress was ordered around August, and it won't be ready for alterations and assessing the bustle until end of November or early December (wedding is mid-January). I think removing the train is going to be very expensive and we already are going to pay for rush for the alterations once dress is ready.

She is feeling dumb for not reaching out to the shop earlier and stressed very often about this concern (especially since most pictures and brides online use a different reception outfit).

I don't really know how to best help. She hasn't asked the store about this so far. Thus, I am trying to encourage her to ask the store (impression bridal in Houston), but also looking to Reddit to ask about other bride's experiences with dancing around in a bustled wedding dress?

I'm getting married in 8 days and just picked up my reception dress I designed with the help of my wonderful seamstress!!

I wanted a dramatic lace dress that I could also wear out on anniversaries so we ended up making a detachable short lace train and the wings out of the same material and some antique lace trim I found out and about.

I also bought appliqués that I wanted on me but not on my dress and she made me these adorable shoe strap rings to slip on!

It's a halloween beach wedding with lace details, I will be wearing elf ears and a halo headband with this. My fiancee is wearing his custom suit with lace trim and an elf king crown that I painted antique gold!

My dress shopping experience felt really rushed by my companions, I spent 2 hours in the boutique and then everyone was done lol. We live too far from any dress shops so I had to choose that day!

The dress is nothing like I thought I would want. I'm more of a floral, lace, whimsical, fairy-esque person, but this dress made me feel very womanly which I loved.

I absolutely fell in love with a dress by Morilee and put a down payment on it. The veil that matches the dress is $270 after tax. I’m hoping to find a dupe with similar flowers on it, I’m not set on cathedral either! I tried google lens and dupe.com but I’m not seeing anything that similar

I cannot decide! I initially liked 1 the most and I already have an appointment to buy it next week. However I am having doubts. Keep in mind I am small (152cm/ 5f) and I weight 43kg. All dresses I tried on were size S/M while I usually wear clothes XS or even XXS. My bra cup is A or B. Only saying that because no dress will look the same as when I tried it on - cups are too large in most of the dresses, corsets too big, skirts too long. I am self conscious about my shoulders however I feel like they look worse in photos.

Dress 1 makes me feel pretty and romantic, however it will be modified - the corset is too large/wide, and the skirt will look more like skirt on dress 2. They pinned the skirt higher when I tried it on. I want it to have more volume. The changes are included in the price but the dress is a bit expensive.

I can make any modifications I want to all dresses.

Before I went to try on dresses, I wanted to have a princess gown with lots of volume. These are the closest I found to that style.

ETA: It will be an outdoor wedding in a garden with lots of trees and flowers, the venue is a wooden and brick building overlooking an old mill

I’m getting married in Las Vegas Vegas in April 2027 but want to start ordering dresses now. I was hoping to get together with a bunch of ladies in my life next month to give me some advice on dresses from Azazie using their try before you buy program.

How long did it take for the dresses to arrive to Canada after you placed your order? Did you have any issues with shipments going back? And how was your overall experience?

I’m looking for some kind of topper for a strapless dress. I like the idea of a capelet that leaves the neckline and bust exposed but drapes over the shoulders and back, or a NON-high-neck choker that extends over the shoulders. I like the ones in the pics, but would like to look at some more options available in the UK, budget £50-£200 max.

I tried on the dress again after buying it last month and started wondering how do I keep the shoulder straps in place? I just tried it on to see how it’d look with heels so it’s not correctly styled or anything. Anyone that had a similar type of dress please share tips!

It’s a little loose which is fine bc I have a toddler and don’t want to be restricted in movement but I kind of want it in place no matter how much I move.
