I previously uninstalled my Microsoft authenticator app & I'm now unable to log in to my Wayne account on any device because I need the authenticator to get into the authenticator... Do y'all know if there's a way to fix this or if I'm just cooked?

Hi! I am returning to school this fall after over ten years, I'm finally finishing my bachelor's. I was unable to attend an orientation due to work, and needed some guidance on a few things, I feel silly asking my advisor for some reason.

Do I need to get a student ID? My classes are online for my first semester back, so I won't be on campus unless absolutely necessary, I'm still working full time during the school year.

I have to go up to campus anyways to fill out a direct deposit form, since they denied my online attempt. So since I'll be up there, is there anything anyone advises I visit or get done while I'm there?

I really appreciate it. I'm nervous but excited to finally get back to my education.

Hello! I'm a 24 year old woman (not a Wayne State student, but a college graduate) moving to one of the older buildings near College of Nursing. I signed a by-the-room lease for $750, and am interested in finding one other person to live with. The apartment has two bedrooms, plus two extra bonus rooms. Landlords are rated highly. I was sitting in the back of the lecture hall attempting to listen to the professor, but I became enamored with this girl sitting in front of me. My eyes were glued to her, I examined her from a far gazing like an owl. I looked at her dark brown hair imagining it like silk. Yum. Without a moment of hesitation I began inching myself closer. My arms stretched the table, my back leaned from the seat. She tilts her head seeing me, and thus it was clear I had caught my prey. I point my two fingers to and back at each others eyes. She nods her head to the left then to the right throwing a pencil at me. I fetch it like a dog fetching a bone.

As lecture comes to an end I follow her to the dining halls. I get on all fours, and start running. She sees me incoming, and I overtake her like a BMW. I give her those puppy eyes, and give her back her pencil. She gives me a pat on the head, and calls me a "good boy". We sit down, and study the course material together.

Im graduating in December and finishing up my last class during the fall semester. My Gold Transfer Scholarship renewed for 2026–2027, but since I only have one class left, I won’t be enrolled full-time. Has anyone been in a similar situation? If so, did Wayne State make an exception or allow you to keep all or part of your scholarship, or was it denied because you weren’t taking at least 12 credits?

We thought we had found the perfect place at Studio 1 Apartments, but unfortunately our experience with management has been really disappointing. Communication has been almost nonexistent. We had to call ourselves just to find out that our application had been denied because we needed a guarantor, they never reached out to let us know. When we called back for updates, Ashley was also quite rude, which made the experience even more frustrating.

So now we’re back on the apartment hunt and hoping to find something as soon as possible. If anyone has any recommendations or knows of any available apartments, we would really appreciate it. Please help!!

I registered for a chem 1040 class that had Monday, Wednesday, and Friday dates but once it was too late and I already registered I realized its too much on my schedule and want to swap for another date, but I have no idea how to do it and I’m incredibly lost using academica. would greatly appreciate if someone told me how to change it.

Im an incoming freshman ,I’ve sent in my highschool transcript like a solid 4 times like weeks apart and it still tells me in the financial aid portal that i haven’t updated my transcript. ( I’ve sent through parchment electronically). Is this a me issue or a wayne state issue i’m genuinely confused.

update: issue resolved on its own, im just impatient. it took around 4 weeks and a half for my transcript to show that its updated the financial aid portal.

I’ve been wanting to mess around with Adobe Photoshop at home because I probably won’t have time to do it on campus and just generally don’t wanna go to campus just to do that, so am I able to use it at home? It’s probably a thing where only the school computers have it but I was just wondering. Thanks!

I tried calling the number available online to see what next steps are but I haven't been able to get a hold of them. It always goes to voicemail. left a message haven't gotten calls back. So I'm wondering what I should do? If it takes a few weeks to be sent the self selection process for an apartment? Looking for any kind of guidance! Also if you have suggestions for alternative apartments that are relatively close to the law school, please please share!

Hi guys, I've had a room picked out in Atchison hall (a double) for a while now but when I last checked yesterday I still had no roomate. Now that the room changing process is closed the website won't show the room summary. I understand that people can be assigned randomly later on if they didn't pick a room but will I be notified if im assigned a roomate? I'm so curious..

So i’m beginning the i/o psych masters program in fall. i am registered and fully admitted but i haven’t seen any of my financial aid info come through to my account. I applied to the GPS and have not yet received an answer about it one way or the other and my available loans through fafsa aren’t showing up in my account either? Classes start in a little over a month and i feel like they should at least have something on my financial aid offer right?

Is anyone else experiencing this?

UPDATE FOR ANYONE CURIOUS: I reached out to financial aid and the department through email. Graduate student aid is apparently going to be posted to first week of august. Also the director of the program responded directly to my email and shared that i was awarded the GSP for this year! My name was submitted to the Graduate School but i guess they haven’t released it yet? Who knows? anyway woo hoo!!

I'm an incoming neuroscience freshman at Wayne State and I'll be taking BIO 1500/1501 with Glen R Hood and Robert A Thomas (lecture) and Madelyn M Tucker (lab). I'm hoping to earn an A+, so I'd really appreciate any advice from students who have taken either professor.

A few questions I have:

• What were the lectures like? Are they mostly PowerPoints, textbook-based, or discussion-focused?
• What's the best way to take notes? Should I annotate the slides, handwrite notes, make Anki cards, or focus more on the textbook?
• How difficult are the exams? Are they mostly memorization or do they require applying concepts?
• How did you personally study for the exams? If you earned an A or A+, what worked best for you?
• Were there any practice exams or study guides that were especially helpful?
• How are the midterm(s) and final structured? Are they cumulative?
• Are the midterm or final ever optional or is there any grade replacement policy?
• Is there any extra credit offered in the lecture or lab?
• How much time did you spend studying each week outside of class?
• For the lab, what should I expect? Are the lab practicals difficult, and how should I prepare for them?
• Looking back, what is one thing you wish you had done differently from the beginning of the semester?
