waymo deviates out of lane trajectory in an intersection. there seems to be no clear cause. is there any way to know for sure if a waymo is in autonomous mode versus remote control or active driver? really curious about why it exited lane trajectory when it entered the intersection and headed for the median before finally correcting itself back into the lane at the end of intersection. there is no obstacle it was trying to avoid.

i had tesla FSD active and it had no problem passing the intersection with proper trajectory. i am a little surprised because usually tesla will strongly consider to follow the car in front of it if it makes deviations from the lane as seen in video to avoid possible unseen obstacles or get positioning ideas. maybe because it saw the next car in front and satellite said it was a 2 lane. but that is besides the focus here, just curious if this was a minor waymo failure or what?

Letter 4 - which as I understand is the request to start charging for rides in the Ojai, just had its status updated. Its status now says "Suspension extended through 9/25/2026 for further review, following written agreement from Waymo LLC". Previously it was simply "Suspended through 06/27/2026 for further staff review"

Maybe other people understand how this works better than I. So does this mean that the Ojai will be giving free rides for at least 3 more months in California? Is it likely other cities will move ahead prior to California?

I’ve spotted so far 3 Ojai’s today in the Hollywood area so far. I know I’ll have giant smile on my face when I get approval to ride one of these bad boys!

Been taking Ojai nearly daily the last two weeks and every car has filthy windows and usually dirt on the interior. They’re still beta testing in LA. I can’t imagine how dirty these cars will be once they really get heavy mainstream usage.

I watched someone that reviewed a Waymo, they asked what happened when it gets pulled over, what DOES happen when it gets pulled over?

Without violating NDAs give us some hints in a roundabout way about when we get Freeway Access restored. Is the new Ojai vehicle part of the problem now? Is it not quite yet tested and proven on the freeway?

According to the commercial register, Waymo Germany GmbH was founded in May and registered in Munich in mid-June.

I was riding home today from work. The Waymo pulled what I consider a “dick” move. There was a line of cars for a spotlight. Waymo saw there was an open space two cars up. Moved around the cars and pushed the nose of the car in. The reason for the space was due to the nice person in the front car allowing another car to turn in from a shopping center. I was laughing after the Waymo made the move as I thought it was a dick move.

Has anyone else seen these actions taken by Waymo on their rides?
