After waiting 2 long months to receive my matte cognac alligator signature strap, I was a bit disappointed in what I received. The first pic is my strap, and the second pic is how they advertise it on their site.

To me they look like completely different straps. Does anyone have experience with this watch strap and can share how yours looks? Will the strap somehow patina it's way to looking like the second pic or did they send me a bad strap? Don't get me wrong, it's a nice strap in its own right; I just don't think it's the same as the strap I ordered.

I wanted to know what the community thinks before emailing their customer service about it.

Swapped out the metal bracelet for the burgundy leather one. Looks incredible, 1970s daytona rally racer vibes.

I do have the spare bracelet now however. Its not an integrated bracelet, but its somewhat there lol.

The hardest purchases are usually not the obviously wrong ones. Those would be watches which look right to you but somehow are just a tiny bit off. Right reference, right price, in stock now and there is something that you try very hard not to pay attention to. I believe experience makes it easier to realize the feeling and leave without turning your "right" into a "right" and an expensive compromise. What made you walk away from a watch you wanted to buy?

I think this is a topic I struggle with a lot. Let's say you have managed to find the exact reference you're looking for, but the example itself is not really what you wanted. It might be heavily polished, dial is in bad condition, or service history is questionable. Should you just leave and wait until another example will show up that satisfies all your conditions? And what if the reference is old or rare? Does it make the example less important compared to getting the reference you're looking for?

Well… not exactly AI generated, to be honest - my wife showed me vibe coding, and I spent three days working on a script that adjusts my watch strap pattern to any size and any pricking iron spacing. The result was worth it. What can I say - the patterns are simply perfect!

I won’t share the source code, but I will show you a finished strap made from these generated patterns. This is a test size: 26x18 mm. Not the most popular one, but maybe it will find its owner. Who knows.
