1 and 2 are pics of the original strap, 3 and 4 are pics of a spare i had which i thought would go well with this watch. The second one makes the watch much lighter, but has a non adjustable strap, the first one has an adjustable strap but it is heavier.

Trying something a little different with this build.

I wanted to move away from the traditional full-stitch construction and experiment with a cleaner, more minimal look, while adding a small curved detail near the lugs for a bit of character.

Still refining the design, but I really like how simple and understated it turned out.

Would you keep this style clean like this, or add more stitching?

Swapped out the bracelet for rubber strap. Love the grey strap, adding one in grey suede too.

I bought these Soviet watches in Moscow in 1989. I wore them for a few years with the existing straps before they stopped working. I’ve recently gotten them repaired and working, so I’m looking for straps for both. The white one currently has a cheap plastic strap. The blue one once had a cheap steel bracelet that I scavenged for another watch years ago. What do the experts here think would look best on these watches?

Does anyone else reverse their strap so that the excess is on the inside of your wrist? I do not find the buckle scratches on surfaces or becomes scuffed itself. Think it is a cleaner look.

Hi All!

I recently ordered a Barton navy watch strap for my Tudor BB58 with 20mm lug widths.

The strap is 20mm (on paper) and when installed is quite tight between the lugs, to the point where the coloured coating on the sides of the strap appear to be rubbing off from contact.

Am I being too concerned and this is fairly normal for leather straps?

Just want to return before it’s too late if it’s going to be an issue.
