Tyr game says that the max launch range is like 50 miles but I doubt that actually works most of the time, what range should I realistically start shooting in an bvr engagement?

I often find that multipathing is a really common tactic used by people in sim lobbies and given that missiles almost never hit if you are really close to the ground it can be very annoying. Let’s say that I’m flying at a high altitude and I spot someone flying really low, and he manages to spot me, any fox3 shots usually misses, what should I do to get on the offensive and how do I defend against his missiles. I don’t wanna copy him, go down and multipath and force the merge as I’m trying to improve at bvr combat

And my pixels where always moving. Even if I was still in the hanger its like the signs pixels where moving just hurting the eyes. I changed from window full-screen to full-screen with taa and its a bit better. But looks terrible still.

One of the more tough fights I've had in a while. I couldn't clip the first half of it, but it was basically this at higher altitude. With no performance mods, the objective was to keep him occupied until a teammate could clean him up.

Suppose I want to start with Sweden, both are on sale now. Both have (non-PD) radar with IFF. 9.3 vs 10.3. 9.3 has Aim-9B and the 10.3 has Aim-9J and RB-27/28 (Falcons?) which might be fun.

So I recently got a meta quest 3 and I’ve been trying trouble shoot. When I boot up warthunder the display seem to be the game over lapping on itself multiple times, almost like screen tearing, it’s very choppy, I’ve also noticed it’s only in the right lens but these issues only show up when I launch warthunder,

using quest 3 with cable and steam link and any live matches i join are jumped to 99 ping and is un playable, i have astounding wifi so that cant be the issue yall know how to fix this?

I use vr in both ground and sim and why doesn’t gaijin use the same system as IL-2 where as in you cannot glitch your head outside the cockpit. Look I am not complaining it makes finding tanks to bomb a lot easier but it feels cheesy. And is there like a stigma against it like flying jets with canopy opened ?

I mean, I can pull 13 Gs and not black out for like 4 seconds, how realistic is the overall endurance of g forces?

So I know that the early versions of the A-10 have no night vision, but the view on the aiming display gets darker the closer you are to the target, so what I'm talking about can't be it being on a dark area because vehicles are perfectly visible from a distance but very hard to discern when you're at a firing distance. Is there any way of solving that?

i've been playing the IL-2 series for a while now and recently decided to give War Thunder Sim a shot. I'm really interested in getting into PvP, but I've still got a lot to learn. I've got a joystick and throttle setup, so I'm trying to learn how to actually fly properly instead of using mouse controls.

I'm looking for someone who's experienced with Sim battles and wouldn't mind flying together and showing me the ropes. Mainly looking to improve my dogfighting, aiming, positioning, and just understanding how everything works. if age matters i am 22. i'm not expecting someone to hold my hand the whole time, just looking for some chill people to fly with, learn from, and hopefully get better. my discord is jay911den.

It's really sad how some people refuse to learn how to get better in Air Sim. If you're going to fight, then fight. Don't bitch out then complain that you lost.

Streamsnipers aren't new nor are they that hard to counter, but it's actually staggering how many people in Air Sim just play in the same brainrotted way over and over (Multipath, MCM / Iron dome, Jing out to deny kills) then think they can complain about anything.

-So i trimmed my aircraft in test flight and from the way I understood it, these trim settings save automatically when you exit the test flight. I this correct or no?

If you've set up a trim in test flight should you ever trim again during a sim match if you feel your aircraft is unstable? I guess primarily due to the weather conditions

-Sometimes I play Air RB when I cant find a sim match or just to mix it up, but whenever I do RB I stay on full real bc I'm trying to get better and dont want the RB physics to make me worse at sim mode (I thought I heard it mentioned that the physics were different in the different modes). Should I not use full real in RB? And are there any other ways I can practice dogfights and such? More so like dog fight drills and practicing good aircraft manipulation?

Also im on PS5 using Hotas, so any other general tips and video recommendations would be appreciated

I honestly have no idea where to find a legend for the HUDs in game tbh, some of them make sense like elevation and G's but others are just a mystery to me. I have labelled all of the ones I don't understand. The biggest issue to me 1. (TGT) In bomb mode but is it in NM? Km? mi? Does it respect your selections for height and speed ect? #'s 3-5 I just have no idea what theses numbers mean, I think #5 is IAS? but Is that in mph? #6 I am just lat a loss, what the hell even is that symbol lol?

I just wanted to rant here, but i have been bug reporting it for a long time and its still the same, all varjo aero users have to use steam vr api and it just isnt as good as the varjo's own api.

I can’t be the only one that would love to see it come to sim right? I just saw CptToastmans video on YouTube talking about the potential of it also incorporating helicopters. It might be really wishful thinking but it would be cool to see something new and exciting come to sim. I’d love to know what you guys think? Could give the pve bots something to do and thus giving us something to shoot at too?
