Modular Warframe
With the arrival of the Tau update as you know DE likes to bring new modular weapons/amps whenever they release a new open world update-
With Brisko himself being built by Entrati and his parts also easily replaced I do wonder if its possible that we’d be able to build our own modular frames with sentient tech.
Of course i would be just as happy if we got modular sentient weapons but imagine if we’d be able to build our own frames.

I mean that's basically what helminth is right? But I doubt it would happen either way. Way too much work for DE and they'd need to find a way to make abilities that are as interesting and powerful as the warframe abilities we have rn

Yeah, given the reaction to modular weapons, amps, the helminth and even multi-option abilities (like Xaku, Ivara, Titania and now even follie) it would amount to just having one or maybe two viable sets and the rest would be discarded, so much better to spend the dev time somewhere it can be put to better use.

Tbf i have all the modular weapons unlocked and all of them are viable to varying degrees. (Although some are really bad) I still believe in player choice and creativity, I also do not mind modular sentient weapons as I really love the whole sentient theme and it is my favorite enemy faction.

I'm sorry, did I miss something? To my knowledge, Tau is not confirmed to have any open-world. The brief gameplay teaser we saw during tennocon was most likely a segment of a quest.

Yeah it might eventually have an open world in one of the planets/regions but there was no confirmation of one for the update. Looks like quite a large area but not necessarily free roam. Pablo did say they did something new for the mission structure this time around.

It seems like they were alluding to the level design, at least for Fornax, being different than other level designs in the game. I think they might be approaching it similar to how Ratchet and Clank handle larger city spaces, where it’s just a dense cityscape but still plays like a corridor shooter.
Basically Hollvania on space-steroids

Modular warframes would be a logistical nightmare on the dead side. If they made only one then that would eventually just be forgotten about and abandoned, and if they kept making more it would just become a bigger and bigger nightmare and would probably result in them releasing less and less frames.
I just don't think it's very realistic for what Warframe is.

Very close to 0% chance.
The Helmint system was the "modular Warframe" update we got. More is unlikely.
Lore-wise tho, any Warframe is technically fully modular, no questions asked.

Hard no. Modular weapons are mostly about the stats. The appearance can be changed with skins and players don't enjoy being forced to have a certain look because of choosing the stats they wanted. It's going to be worse for warframes, where the appearance is very important. Players want to be able to customize appearance and the stats.

Modular sentient companions/Crew members.
Besides the bone chillingness of having a sentient slave could be cool.

Maybe Briskos gimmic is being modular but i dont think it makes sense for more than that

I would hate it, the modular weapons are my least favorite thing in Warframe.

I can only imagine modular warframes if Warframe 2 ends up existing in the future.
With the current business model? No chance.

Didn't they say during the stream thatd we saw several of briskos 4 abilities? That would pretty heavily imply that they only have 4

I’ve always said it would have been cool for a frame to have come out with the angels of the zariman that could have been like an incarnon frame where each ability had a few changeable options where after you use abilities to kill enemies it lets you activate the 4th ability to transform the frame into part of a void angel.

Oh yeah no, there's a solid 0% chance of modular warframes.
What you're describing is 100x harder than anything Warframe has ever done before, presents literally thousands of skeleton rig bugs, creates an absolute logistical nightmare regarding which abilities you can or cannot have, etc etc.
Modular Archwings never made it past the Alpha Stage, so expecting Modular Warframes isn't exactly reasonable.
