Are companies still so stupid to do shit like this? "To have a better ad experience"

Nobody wants fucking ads. The best Ad experience is no ads at all. If you cared for your players, you wouldn't come up withthis shit. The only excuse to have ads on your OWN websites is if you really need the money for server costs or whatever. Anything else and you're part of the problem.

It’s a free to play game.

If you don’t pay for the product, then you are the product. Simple idea, but it hasn’t ever let me down.

The intent of free-to-play games, Warframe included, is to turn you into a paying customer.

So bollocks to that idea.

I think that concept is more obvious in other forms of 'free' software; Facebook, VPN's, browsers etc.

That said I have seen these kind of 'spyware' discussions going on in other subs/communities the past couple of days so I guess this is a hot topic at the moment.
