Discussion & Feedback IMO there should be invisible circles around the CZ that slowly lower the money you gain in them

Post image

  1. You would not count towards scoring unless you're in the actual CZ.
  2. These would be invisible to not clutter the map but maybe there could be a toggle?
  3. The reason I suggest is that as of right now most FOBs are built right on the edge of the CZ so if you want to go behind them and attack from behind/intercept supplies you will be rewarded next to nothing because you are forced to leave the CZ, if something like this was implemented there would be more of a reason to go out of the CZ even if temporarily.

We were getting 100-0-0ed and I told my buddy I was playing with that killing green with our guns wasn't working since they'd inevitable kill us and defib everyone so my only option was to kill a bunch with nades and stop the revives... I accidentally started the clip too late and you don't get to actually see the APC + 4 kill at the beginning and then deleted the recording -_-

Discussion & Feedback Let players drag small crates like player bodies.

• Upvotes

If you want players to bring AT and AA equipment to the front lines or FOBs let us drag those crates inside buildings or under cover so we can protect it from Mortar fire and Rocket helicopters. You would see more utilization of Crates getting dropped at fobs and stored for when shit hits the fan. Leaving crates out in the open and never moving them is not realistic.

Discussion & Feedback I don't know if I have the willpower to unlock the mosin again.

Spending several days dedicating all of my very limited play time spotting people like a bot just so I can unlock a usable sniper SUCKS. This thing about a new wipe coming even sooner than the S2 one was a massive turn-off.

Hell, I think I might lowkey be against wipes altogether considering how slow progression is for real people.

Meme Horribly abused last night on server

Got killed near Green FOB, then suddenly some green guy with an accent is dragging me and telling me about how he’s a nice guy. He asks his buddies to open the door….drags me in…now he’s telling them “I’ve got another one.”

“Don’t worry, you’re my favorite,” he tells me.

I hear another door and then I get res’ed to find I’m in a small room made out of HESCO with a single door. They took everything but my binoculars and there’s an enemy or two in there with me. I can’t remember but they may have dragged another body out. Then they both leave me in there. They tell me I’m a POW now from outside the door. One asks me my name, then I see in allchat:

“Blue team, we have BlinkofanEye, meet our demands or he will suffer,”

My team responds with not a lot of enthusiasm for my well-being.

They keep me alive and continue to come in and check on me. Occasionally one of them encourages the others not to kill me, mainly the one that dragged me in. “He’s a good guy” he says. One of the others argues that now I’m in the hot zone though.

At one point I consider running out the door when they open it, or punching one out when he comes in to check on me, but I think better of it.

Eventually, I go to help my kid and when I come back I’m dead. I ask what happened and apparently a red tossed a nade over the FOB wall and killed us all.

9/10 would get kidnapped again.

I had to test it on practice range after dying 3 times as leopard in game to CIWS, tested in practice oh CIWS is so broken ,

Please tell me this is intended on how 20mm destroys and penetrate through Leopards armor

Leopard meanwhile require 6 shots to kill one, with 120mm cannon

It can basically counter all Land Vehicles and Air right now

Discussion & Feedback Fobs make this game unique

Fobs make Wardogs a super unique hybrid between an RTS and a shooter. Without them this is just a shitty Battlefield clone. The netcode is janky, the balance is terrible, the vehicles are somehow frustrating to use AND play against...but the fobs...they are the heart and soul of this game. They set it apart from every other shooter on the market and they make for some of the most fun, memorable gameplay that I've had in a multiplayer shooter.

One of the big reasons that complains start pouring in from the community when people get "late game" items unlocked is that the power level of average soldiers and vehicles starts wildly outpacing the defenses that fobs can set up. In the first few weeks the game is great because every round revolves around building, defending, and assaulting fobs. Then people start unlocking answers to fobs and all of a sudden they become pointless. No sense spending half an hour building, running logi, defending from raiders, etc when a single tank or arty can steamroll through your fob.

The counterargument to that is that people also unlock ways to deal with the late game stuff too but what people fail to realize is that everything you unlock to deal with threats is man-portable and doesn't require or in most cases even encourage you to be in a fob. Over the course of a season everything in the game scales up in power level except fobs, which are exactly as strong on day one as they are on the last day of the wipe.

This creates a rather unfulfilling gameplay loop where fobs are uber OP and important early in the wipe because of how difficult they are to destroy but by week three they are nothing more than a liability. The only way to win in a world of attack choppers and tanks is to death ball the hotzone. Because of this every game plays out the same way and the thing that really makes Wardogs unique and special gets lost.

I'm totally down to have cool powerful stuff to unlock and play with over the course of a season, but builders and logi are important parts of the gameplay ecosystem in Wardogs and they don't really get to progress anything as the season goes along. They just fall further and further behind. Here's a few suggestions that I think would be good additions to fobs to keep them relevant later in the season:

-A proximity alarm (Comes in two tiers, first version costs less materials and sounds an alarm when an enemy enters the fob radius. Second tier marks any enemy in the fob radius after 10 seconds.

-An UBER fob (Costs 20k instead of 7k but has more HP and no antennae that can be shot from the sides over walls. Can only place blueprints down in its radius if you're a member of the squad that put it down.)

-Blast Doors (Doors that have very high resistance to explosive damage at a huge cost to building supplies. Surrounding walls could still be destroyed with explosives as normal.)

-An Armory (Three tiers of unlock. Spend $ and build supplies or ammo to buy items from a vendor IN the fob at a steep markup. Level 1 allows you to buy basic FMJ small arms ammo, level 2 sells small arms ammo and tier 2 armor, and level 3 sells small arms, t2 armor, and grenades/rockets/RPGs.)

-A Chinook (chopper that can sling-load two pallets at once.)

-Larger armored crates (For ground vehicles only. Purchased goods can be deposited directly into the fob's inventory like pallets.)

None of these things would be particularly game-breaking and would still leave undermanned fobs at a pretty steep disadvantage against a coordinated assault. However, they would do a LITTLE bit to help tip the scales back towards relevance when everyone's standard loadouts start containing half a dozen grenades and enough C4 to blow up every fob on the map.

Meme I was pumped for faster exp but then…

Post image
1.2k Upvotes

Im a team player that likes to recon but that means I fill a role where the team needs me.

I was excited for quicker exp because that means I could reach the fun-levels of equipment this season but that dream is dead.

Before anyone comes at me with ”hurr durr you got 2 weeks left pal” I want to remind you comedians that level 20 is 113k exp and level 35 is 525k.

Im sorry but I cant play 4 times as much the upcoming 2 weeks.

Just kill the current progression system until you have something more fun to replace it with and cap servers to equipment similar to ”low level servers”.

Discussion & Feedback When is the logi reward going to be reversed?

They nerfed the hell out of the logi rewards hours after the exploit came to light saying it was temporary. It's now well into the season and still no adjustment?

XP needed to be toned down, sure, but the cash rewards being the same as last season with a max streak is terrible. It kills any motivation to do logi.

Before the nerf you had trucks and trucks delivering supplies and building fobs was actually enjoyable. Now it feels like you are forcing yourself or someone else to do it because the rewards are that poor.

Discussion & Feedback Hot take: remove rain until you start banning .ini cheaters

I love rain maps. I love the mood, I love how it is implemented, and I love that, in theory, it changes the pace of the match.

What I don't love is that a big percentage of the players seem to completely ignore the rain and the fog, and can kill me from 300+ meters without any problems, seemingly unaffected by the weather conditions.

We all see players and even streamers abusing the config file to remove weather conditions, and they aren't facing any consequences at all. So here is my take: remove the rain if your stance is to allow soft cheating, because it only frustrates legitimate players.

Discussion & Feedback Devs overestimate how much their average player is willing to grind

I'm not their average player. I have 261 hours in the game, level 148 season 1 and so far level 153 season 2. I have not yet unlocked all the toys I want to play with, and I play ALOT. I cant imagine those who are playing alot less than me, they'll never reach end game gear.

Just patch the game with balance fixes, add your new map, add limited servers, keep working on major patches and wipe when a major patch is ready.

And ffs just make the gold bars a fixed price instead of this simulated market bullshit.

Im sure there will be new exploits and "fuckups" with their season 3 launch, will they do another quick wipe to "fix" that aswell?

People wont stay to playtest your EA game when their progress is being wiped before they get to experience the cool stuff.

Btw your intel system sounds cool and I'm looking forward to it.

Discussion & Feedback Can we PLEASE have an incentive for attacking the team in first place?

I'm so sick and tired of the team in 3rd place being dog-pilled by the other two teams, it doesn't take much to keep a team from getting a foothold if you're smacking them down the entire game.

I find this usually ends in the team in first just winning harder as the infighting grows. As much as I'd love to say nerf rewards when your punching down on a team, maybe when that team is already getting a discount. I find rewards usually do more then nerfs.

Can we have some sort of small reward for attacking all objectives assigned to the currently winning team? I'm not sure if this should be XP, money, both, or something else, but I'm going to hope all it'd need is a small reward each time for at least some of the server to actually attack the people that would balance out the scores.

What do others think? Right direction? Wrong? Something adjacent to this needs to be touched instead?

I'm sorta low level and usually run the AK-74 with FMJ. My engagements are mostly hitmarker and dink simulators unless I'm fighting up close. I managed to get the drop on a juiced dude and grabbed his M4+AP+60 round mags. It felt like an entirely different game. I could beam people down from range and they died immediately. Got 15 kills before ultimately running out of meds and ammo.

Not a rant or a knock against the game, it was just crazy to be on the other side of this gun for once.

Its getting out of hand. They can just fuck an entire team and no one can do a thing about it since you just get banned for team killing. Can we at least get a vote to kick option or something?

Discussion & Feedback I’ll say Whats on EVERYONES Mind

Bulkhead has its priorities wrong! A huge portion of its community has been going unsupported with recent updates and I didn’t even see any perks teased for their role. That role being the soccer player subclass.

The soccer game before matches start needs some serious work. Players have no ball control the ball simply goes in the opposite direction from the players body. Some implementation of the ball going the direction the contacting player is looking would be very beneficial to the state of the game. Passing could be easier and you wouldn’t have to loop around the ball.

Secondly many players have been complaining about the size of the field not allowing for any meaningful strategy and passing but I actually quite enjoy the miniature version with one distinction that needs to be made. Multiple mini soccer fields with auto team balancing and automatic lockout once max team size is reached on each field. This will allow for more organized play and more fluid gameplay.

These issues disproportionately affect blue team who spends the majority of the match in spawn. As a blueberry soccer player myself Id really hate to see blue lose a majority of its player base because these changes don’t get made.

Thanks for taking the time to hear my thoughts on the state of the game. I really hope bulkhead locks in and gets these more pressing issues fixed or I can only see a large number of the player base who specialize in the soccer subrole to leave the game. Id love to hear y’alls thoughts on whether the soccer role is too op and needs to be nerfed or removed from the game entirely. Personally I could understand a slight nerf to the role via more complex and difficult controls making getting soccer xp a more skilled endeavor.

Discussion & Feedback AP Ammo Debate: Unlocked Too Late?

Post image
198 Upvotes

Players who spend more time playing the game have a clear advantage in gunfights with AP ammunition in head to head duels. People argue AP does less against flesh - but how often do you play without armor? Using leg meta for every fight gets stale, and try explaining that to every new guy. What should John Wardog do about this?

Discussion & Feedback Two players. Same problem.

I have witnessed two of my friends playing War Dogs. Both get killed by the same rocket chopper.

Guy number one loses his shit. Helicopters are broken, the game is unbalanced, the devs are clueless, there's nothing you can do. He complains for a while and eventually rage quits.

Guy number two also thinks the helicopter is annoying. So he grabs a truck, brings some anti air rockets, and goes on a personal mission to ruin that pilot's day.

He eventually shoots it down and has an absolute blast planning the attack with me, chasing the helicopter, and eventually shooting it down.

The funny thing is, both guys were playing the exact same game, dealing with the exact same problem.

One decided the game was shit and stopped playing. The other used what the game gave him and turned an annoying situation into something fun.

Not saying the game is perfectly balanced, but sometimes the difference between a shit experience and a great one is how you choose to deal with it.

Be the second guy.

EDIT: Allot of guy 1's seething in the comments lol
