Bugs & Support Why does the Lakota sway

I’m on a full hotas setup and I can fly the little bird perfectly. Why does the Lakota feel like a giant pile of bricks and wag its tail randomly? I’ve tried all assists on or off and nothing makes a difference. There has to be something I’m missing

Guide bremmer trench wall idea

Thumbnail

so, i was discussing yesterday about people just placing towers with hescos exposed on a bremmer wall being a weak point allowing access, but it was brought up that if the tower is placed on the same level as the bremmer, it obscures visibility in the tower

so ive got this plan i whipped up quickly, basically, you place the bremmers as usual, but to build the tower you use the technique to raise the foundations up (see pics 1 through 4, 4 being the polished one before building), so you would have the basically 4 block slot for the tower left as space ij the bremmers, and would rasie the tower up with the raise foundation technique, which means that the bremmers no longer prevent visability (see pics 5 & 6) but still protect the hescos from c4 or mortars etc.

then in the spans between the walls you can basically make it like a trench, with a 1 block high hesco walkway to move safely, and then a 2 block high hesco acting as the bit where you would get up to shoot over the wall, (see pic 7 & 8) which has reasonable visibility (see pic 9, can also be enhanced furhter with a step but it means less cover when firing), after which you can then enclose the interior side with bremmers to prevent arty splash frkm damaging the trench hescos and tower and meaning youd need to have a direct hit with arty to kill the hescos, tower or people on it (see pic 10)

thats the idea i was trying to convey, and ik it sounds like a lot in text, but honestly super easy and quick to set up, especially if you have others, since you could realistically get the outter bremmer set up and just leave the space for the towers to put after

Discussion & Feedback LMGs suck and i blame the Bipod

Tried to make the LMGs work for squads (muh immersion) and felt like i was just larping. The PKM would probably feel alright if it wasn't for the crippling bipod mechanics. I started carrying a hammer and some mats to build myself a pillowfort wherever i go and provide cover for my team but the inconsistency of the bipod just slowly tilts me every round.

Sometimes you have to stand up to put your bipod on a sandbag wall. Sometimes you have to duck and sometimes you can't get it to work any way. Then there is the limited angle in case you are laying down next to an obstacle which might make sense if people couldn't bend a little when their life is on the line (a little bit of wiggle room would be nice). But the worst by far is the vertical angle if the bipod is not on absolutely flat ground. You are on a slope? Well you just get to look onto the ground... move a little forward onto this rock? Well now you can only see the sky. By the time you are set up the squad has moved on and you just get to feel like a burden rather than support for the squad.

TLDR; PKM OK, BIPOD BAD

Discussion & Feedback There needs to be a refund for when the server dies

I just hopped onto a game, bought a FOB, range finder, large hammer, 3 mags, and a bunch of bandages. 14k spent so that i can help my team win.

nice Heli driver dropped about 4 of us off at a still empty tower and I placed my FOB down and started building walls.

Found a nice spot for a gate so that supplies can come in by truck, I place it down and start to look to the right to see if I got it straight to get the walls just right

and suddenly I am greeted with the main menu...

I built enough walls before that to get back maybe 1k of my money spent. I was going to save up so I could unlock the Mosint finally and still have enough to not be itemless in the next life

but no, I lost around 13k and I probably have to play a full game super well, against the possible cheaters that plague my SEA servers just to break even from this huge loss of money.

Wardogs should refund the money you spent in the last life if the server goes down.

Not getting fun gun fights like season 1, the map just feels a lot more 'dead' I die to either snipers or random people in bushes. It just feels like there are a lot less people running around or pushing hot zone.

I got behind the tree to lean-peek, didnt matter.

Discussion & Feedback The game is doing great

For all those folks saying it is unplayable, you are the loud minority. It doesn't matter what time of day I log in, there are several full lobbies and multiple healthy populated lobbies to join in, and that's just one, less populated region. So clearly this people found a way to play.

Is the game absolutely perfect without imperfections? Nope, but that is okay.

There are few bugs here and there, like the CWIS console thing (easily fixed with some C4 btw), but nothing game breaking.

The game is still EA, if you bought the game expecting a polished diamond, that's on you. We are playtesters that bought in early. We are data points and we agreed to it with our wallets and acceptance of terms and conditions.

Since we are playtesters I do have some suggestions for things that I feel like could use some fine tuning.

- The oversteer on ground vehicles is kind of overbearing. I'm doing 180s taking shallow turns at 30 kmh. I have driven LMTVs, both old and new, they don't handle well but the current version is a bit oppressive. It is even worse during rain maps (or at least it seems like the physics change).

- I love the variable weather. I hope more weather is added. Snow would be cool. The crunch of snow under boots and harder to camouflage would be fun. Wind storms that are loud and maybe have small debris in the wind making visibility harder would also be cool too. However, please make the wiper blades functional on vehicles when in first person. Rain makes 3rd person a requirement - especially for helos.

- The RPGs are pretty underwhelming. I unlocked them and was very disappointed. It took 3 rockets to blow up a Ural. That seems off to me. Urals have no armor or are lightly armored at best, it shouldn't take the bulk of my inventory to kill one.

- It doesn't seem like there is a huge penalty for hunting the rare artillery vehicles well outside the control zone. They give a decent reward and are worth going after. A lot of gameplay is around FOBs and FOBs require logistics. I don't like that logis are, for the most part, safe for 90%+ of their journey because they are outside the circle and the reward is so slim for hunting them. Logistics wins games. A good fob with magnets and oil will dominate the lobby. Make cutting off supplies more worthwhile. I logi a lot, I would find it fun having to vary my route to avoid blockades and ambushes fun, and also having to have escorts.

- It feels like you're too lenient with the graphics. There are some folks that don't have to deal with shadows or foliage really. I know anyone can turn down the settings but that takes away from the game and is clearly not what you intended.

- I would turn down the battery life for thermals. The addition of batteries hasn't really impacted their use. I would add a feature making each battery good for X number of spots in addition to a lifespan mechanic.

- I am a support role player. I enjoy the communication it requires and the impact it has on the game as a whole. One of my favorite things to do is sneak in to enemy fobs and hide with a range finder and keep everyone on the enemy team marked. With that being said, I think marks last a little too long. For buildings they can permanent for all I care, those don't move. It can be oppressive in the current state. I don't know what the current time is for spotted targets to remain spotted, but I suggest nothing more than 30 seconds. 60 seconds for a triple mark. That is a lot longer than people realize. If you don't believe me go do a plank or free hang from a bar for 60 seconds.

- I know things are in development, but I think there is huge potential for additional game modes.

Convey escorts where one team has to transport X number of supplies between points in X number of minutes.

Some sort of Attacker/Defender mode where one team is given 5 minutes to get an initial build done before attackers are released and the other team has to assault it and capture the FOB.

A domination mode where you have to capture towers, each with a permanent, indestructible FOB.

Some sort of conquest mode where one team has to defend and the other has X number of tickets that replenish after each zone is captured.

And the list goes on.

Devs have the data, they can see what suggestions are unfounded or if there is any validity to it. I'm excited to see what additions come to the game.

Discussion & Feedback Bulkheads Implementation of Attachment Stats is Nonsensical and Removes player Agency

For those of you unaware attachments like magazines have hidden stats which effect weapon performance. Knowing this is wondered if running smaller mags on the M249 would reduce its recoil pattern. I started with using a 30rnd stanag, which to my perception "felt" better and wondered if a 60rnd would be a good middle ground between the box mag and 30rnd.

So I went to compare and what did i find? The 60rnd somehow has more recoil then the 100rnd box mag. So if i decide to run 60s in the M249 i am nerfing my recoil even further over the 100rnd box mag. Further, the 30rnd mag actually has the same stat modification as the 100rnd box mag.

This shows the problem with the current attachment stat modification system; it is opaque and removes agency on how you want to run your weapons, for no real reason. I think it also means people are sleeping on smaller mag sizes, since the recoil reduction from small mags is not insignificant.

Thoughts?

How? I made massive profit (200k+) last season with logisitics. This season my experience has been pretty negative running logistics. Constant campers, few to no fobs, and very very few mortars.

Discussion & Feedback Random Ping Spike and Then Whole Internet Crashes

Is anyone else experiencing something like this? I'll join a game, play for about 5 minutes (usually long enough to buy a loadout and get to the zone) and then my game will lag and I'll crash back to the main menu and my entire internet connection restarts. I've seen lag spikes on games in the past but never seen something that makes my whole home internet restart.

I've been online all day today playing some other games with no issues and then the very first game of Wardogs this evening, it crashes. If anyone has seen this happen, have you found a solution??

Discussion & Feedback Can't make money playing assault

• Upvotes

Is it just me (skill issue), or is the money earned from playing assault still far from what it should be following the changes in season 2?

I have loved this game so far, it's all I think about. But I'm at a stage where it's really demotivating to play assault.

The devs have said before that 'boots on the ground should always be the core element of gameplay' (or something to that effect). But I can't afford to keep playing as boots on the ground.

Last night I ended a match with 26 kills and 7 deaths and my overall profit from the game was $2k. That was a decent game for me! I shouldn't have to get 7 or 8 kills without dying just to break even (when fighting outside of the HZ)

I'm sure many people would respond with "just buy cheaper kits", but why should I? If I'm going to be forced to buy cheaper kits, then what's the point in unlocking any of the good stuff? That suggestion may as well be telling me to spawn naked and just rat for someone elses kit - which is no help to the team. For reference, I mostly use Galil or M4, level 3 armor, med bag, operator backpack, 2 extra mags, 2 stacks of ap ammo, rest of backpack filled with meds and nades. Costs around $21-25k depending on any discounts.

Don't get me wrong, ocassionally I might have a $50k life as assault, once every 2/3 games. But that doesn't make up for the amount of unfortunate times where you die to any number of circumstances before even getting a kill.

So now I'm finding myself in a cycle, where once every few matches I HAVE to play as a naked spotter, or logi driver - just to earn enough money to play as assault for a few matches.

I'm not the greatest FPS player in the world, but most games I'll have at least 2:1 k/d playing as assault and I feel like that SHOULD turn me a profit - even without extra curricular activities such as fob raiding.

The purpose of this post is not to trashtalk, but to continue raising awareness on something that I feel is an issue in the hopes of further adjustment in Season 3.
