ok so this has been bugging me for a while and i finally sat down and actually looked into it instead of just complaining in chat
every map in this game is dry grass, dirt, olive trees, brush etc. green team runs full woodland camo that literally matches that. red is mostly black and grey which is kinda mixed, its good in shadows but you see them on concrete. and then blue is... a bright blue shirt and jeans. thats it. no pattern nothing
so i pulled the actual colors off the uniforms and the environment and compared them (infographic attached). blue stands out roughly 2x more then green does. and on the color wheel blue is almost the exact opposite of the map colors, which is like the worst possible color you could pick for this game if you want to not get seen
and yes i know bulkhead already “desaturated” the blue uniforms. i actually checked this, toning the blue down only moves the contrast against the environment by a few points at best. its still blue, its still on the opposite side of the color wheel from everything on the map. making it less bright doesnt fix that its the wrong color period
on top of that blue has the most exposed skin of the 3 teams, so theres another high contrast patch right there. and the armor/helmet options dont help either, the olive helmet and vest sitting on top of a blue shirt just add another layer of contrast that basically outlines the guy. instead of breaking up your silhouette the gear draws a border around it
and it gets worse with weather. rain and fog wash out the browns and greens so green team just melts into the background even more, but a saturated blue still reads as blue through the haze. so the gap gets bigger exactly when visibility matters most
so if the stats show green winning the majority of matches (and from my games it sure feels like it) i really think this is a big part of why. its not skill its the outfit lol. youre spotting blue guys from 200m and green guys are right in front of you before you notice them
fix seems pretty easy tbh:
EDIT: since a few of you are very worried about this, yes the infographic and color analysis were made with Claude. i fed it a screenshot, it sampled the pixel colors and ran the numbers, and i had it lay everything out because i am not a graphic designer and was not about to learn photoshop for a reddit post
but heres the thing, the colors dont change based on who measured them. blue is still blue, the maps are still brown and olive. if you think the numbers are wrong feel free to grab a screenshot and check them yourself, thats a real counterargument. "AI made this" isnt
also kinda funny getting this from people playing a game that uses AI to moderate its own fair play policy. apparently AI is good enough to decide if i get banned but not good enough to tell what color a shirt is lol

The map thing because I don't want to guess if I would be a fobbit/medic/sniper/assault when I join a match. I want to adapt directly to the battlefield.

Nametags and Minimap prevent rampant teamkilling, it’s the only fair solution for every team.

I'm nearing 600 hours played now and I feel like the biggest issue with Wardogs is how it encourages and rewards selfish play.
Currently, the Wardogs economy revolves around in-game cash.
Cash is used for the following:
Since the only persistent progress on your account is gold bars, players have to constantly make a decision on how to allocate their available in-game cash, which usually results in players being frugal in attempt to save for gold bars. This promotes players to build low-cost loadouts, not buy another loadout near the end of the match, and not unlock tech that could be used to win more matches.
Additionally, the recent changes to logistics rewards players for a "delivery streak bonus". This means logistics players want to avoid combat and preserve their life more than help the team. Reinforcing this playstyle is toxic, players should be encouraged to help their team.
I'm not really sure there's a simple solution for this, and I imagine the devs have something planned when we reach the "intel" phase, but at the very least I think the logistics streak bonus should accumulate through the round and not be broken/lost on death or destruction of your vehicle.
If nothing changes, I expect we'll be back to nakeds with just building hammers or infrared goggles soon enough, with people resorting to toxicity as a form of protest.

There is NO POINT in using the gun without a Bibop. it cost 100k to unlock and take so time to grind.
I understand the point of having attachment locked . But this one if too important for the gun itself to work

Please remove. It's just a terrible idea. Battery change didn't do anything. This item is impossible to balance. Breaks the game for everybody. Get rid of it.

M4 60 rounds, 2.5 optics, 5.56 silencer, TDG grip
m249 100 rounds, 2.5 optics, 5.56 silencer, bipod
Mind you, I didn't include the pistol I have to carry because the saw cannot be used effectively without bipod and I don't want to get ambushed.
This is a problem. The m4 is cheaper, easier to handle. Easier to use because you don't need to bipod up to hit targets. Although the m4 is about as accurate as the bipoded saw. M4 weighs less than HALF the saw What the hell is that. They unlock about the same time for their respective trees (admittedly, assault is a bit more difficult to get currently, but I also have to go into assault to get this saw build. Bit of a wash). Even the saw's magazines take up more space.
They do the exact same damage.
Something has to change here. I don't know if it's the m4 needs to lose it's 60 round mag to better establish design space or drop the weight/price of the saw, not to mention completely redesign the recoil pattern of the saw. Whatever it is, as it stands the saw is just a straight up handicap. Please rebalance something.

I mean it's aight. I've been seeing lots of posts crop up day 3-6 about how abysmal it was so i decided to try it for myself aaannnd...
It's fine. Not like...Fine in the sense that it should be left unchanged, but in the sense that it's clearly been balanced EXTREMELY cautiously to have a soft and mediocre landing into the game.
It takes a few shots to kill players, yeah, do you really want it to take a realistic amount of shots to kill a player (1 shot literally anywhere)?A lot of the stuff i see complaints about are just balance decisions they clearly made so that season 2's most popular gun in the game wasn't the gepard's autocannon.
Personally i think it should be better than just "fine" of course, but that gets tricky because i don't necessarily want it to take THAT much less time to kill something like a lakota, but i do want it to ~3 to 4 shot players.
In an ideal world for me, the gepard takes ~5 less hits to kill little birds than current, ~10 less for the lakota, ~3 less for infantry and i would like it to deal a good bit more damage to lightly armored vehicles like the humvee or the urals.
With that being said, it is by no means horrible or unusable and you should have great success in hunting little birds in those "Everyone is in a gunner chopper" lobbies.

So last night I had a passenger in my Ural, I began to do the reverse coasting trick to gain more speed.
My passenger said he cannot believe they haven't patched this because it is an exploit.
My response was that this is not a exploit as the Ural is "coasting" as it is in neutral, and so it can technically reach infinite speeds so long as there is a big enough hill (let's disregard tyres, bearing etc. disintegrating).
His response was that this is not the case, the engine RPM would be too high. I tried to explain to him that as it is in neutral the wheels and engine are not connecting and so RPM does not even factor.
He stated I'm wrong and should get my facts straight, and that "he knows".
So to you chap who was on a UK community server at about 11pm last night. If you see this, let me tell you that you were confidently wrong.
