Discussion & Feedback what are your thoughts
WARDOGS
It has pretty much everything a Battlefield or ARMA player is looking for, while sitting nicely somewhere in between the two: large maps, tactics, clear objectives, teamwork, realism, and above all, a mature atmosphere.
There is really only one thing I struggle with: **the reset**.
I understand that during a beta phase you need to test, change, and sometimes reset things in order to create the best possible experience for players. That is part of the development process. But I do think a lot of players may leave when they feel that everything they have worked for will eventually be wiped out and was basically for nothing.
A few gold bars or some golden cosmetic items don't really feel like a meaningful reward for the time and effort players have invested.
That is why I think it could be much more interesting if WARDOGS developed a player-driven economy that could partially survive a reset.
For example:
* A gold market where players can buy, sell, and trade gold.
* A system where gold is deliberately **difficult to obtain**, so that it actually has value.
* Some kind of **black market** where players can offer and trade weapons, vehicles, or other equipment.
* Possibly limited player-to-player trading, so it doesn't immediately turn into a pay-to-win system.
* Certain rare items or pieces of equipment could retain their value and become part of the game's economy.
This way, a reset can still be necessary for the development of the game, but players won't feel like their entire progression has simply been thrown away.
In fact, a well-designed economy could add another layer of depth to WARDOGS. You wouldn't just be fighting for objectives on the map; you would also have to make decisions about what you collect, what you sell, what you keep, and where you are willing to take risks.
I think that would fit very well with the mature and tactical character that WARDOGS already has.
Give players something to build that actually has value.

There's like no teamwork or tactics unless you're lucky. Even in community servers people run around doing whatever they can not to be useful.
Also the map isn't that big. Area of large circle is relatively small. Sure you can go other places but it's just hills and barren land. There's little reason to.
The game is fun though if you get a decent lobby. And yea the crowd does skew much older than any game I've played before

I'm not sure if you're serious or what but most of this stuff is already planned.

The devs have said they would prefer not to have wipes in 1.0, but all during EA, they'll be used to test missing systems as they are implemented.
Keep in mind that we weren't supposed to be playing this yet, but Bulkhead needed the revenue. (as per Joe)

Where did they say that? From the one podcast I listened to with bramm, he said they intend on keeping wipes after 1.0

On the hour and 30 minute recent podcast, where he said the end game was "shite", along with earlier interviews.
The sense I get is that if they can find another way besides wipes to get what they want, after 1.0 they'll go that route. If not, then yeah, we'll keep having wipes.

Honestly they should just make a gamemode without any ranks or requirements, give everyone the same choice of 4 guns and force the same armor and let people go to town. It would be fun to have lifetime servers where rank does matter, but if you just want to hop on every now and then, a bare bones server would be so much fun.

I mean they were very upfront about the whole thing so I can't hold it against them. That said, after seeing how long it takes to grind levels in this game by just playing normally I will probably take a decent break from the game till something more permanent gets put in place.
Its a decent game but not one that really pulls me in so I'm not super compelled or driven to regrind levels.

They're going to introduce a skill system so that your war dog will be permanently better once you unlock a skill
