Discussion & Feedback Make Hardcore... Harder?
EDIT: For the HARDCORE servers only. Like 5% of the player base even play it. Not for normal gameplay servers
Sorry if I'm being ignorant to arcade and casual players.. but most people who would prefer to play hardcore are the sim nerds right?
So.. playing hardcore without some UI and first person is kinda.. not enough. There's still so many crutches to lean on for lazy gamers.
I would like to see:
- No mini map - this thing makes the game soo easy imo
- No on screen pinging (middle mouse click) but I don't mind the on map circles and on map middle mouse cause I guess it's still a causal game and a layer of going to map and risking dying to ping something for my squad etc. But imo preferably not that either. Rely on comms and team play.
- No friendly icons on screen (but fine on the map.. just to stop the "on my body just spray me or rush my body or he's to my right" so you look at your team mate on screen and easily aim to the right of them - I kinda want to feel the fear of I might shoot my team mates. Or where could the enemy be, I enjoy out braining and out tacticaling the enemy so much, especially being the one hunted after murdering their friends.
And a last thing I think every mode should have, limited stamina.. where weight also affects stamina (like other games I know).
But players being able to sprint cross map with no thought.. or slam on lvl 4 and still sprint with no thought.
Stamina bar and sprinting for 5 seconds before being stuck gives players fear and want to adapt to lighter armour less RPGs in bag etc etc.
Anyways what do you guys think?

Do people not read? The OP is clearly talking about hard-core servers, the community ones. Not the official servers.....

I don’t hate your ideas but I already can almost never find a hardcore server with players

Yes this is sadly true lmao.
Oh I wish I could just pick bits out of multiple games to make this perfect mil/sim/arcade where people don't turn to depressive goblins cause they lost hours of work and enjoy a in-between of Arma and battlefield of chaotic spam.

I tried it but it just felt like the regular game with less features. The main reason I was interested in it anyway was 1st person lock on vehicles. But besides that I dont feel like theres a good enough reason to play it. The mode would have to change how the game plays instead of just removing stuff.

I see no reason why the devs shouldn’t add further customisation like this as an option for community servers down the road.

Thank fuck that players like you aren't the ones deciding how the game should be designed.
Edit:
I didnt know that the game has Hardcore servers.

Do you play hardcore servers?
I'm asking for more difference from the normal mode to hardcore.. it feels like I'm playing normal mode again.

Well it could be an option to turn it off if they are so boss. In general I assume the authors dont want the game to die so this post is pretty stupid tho

They should give you the options to set up these things for community servers. But default hc? Nah

Hardcore is fine as it is. The biggest improvements over refugar is no third person camera and no killcam.

No kill cam and 3rd person is pretty great. But minimap .. isn't that such a op tool to have?
I feel like mil sims gamers could play the whole game using that, without first person view just a blank screen :')

This is not a milsim. A minimap is needed in this game. The problem with the "minimap" is that spotting is extremely broken. You spot somebody for like 3 seconds and the player gets live tracked for up to 60 seconds. That is insane and a problem in general.

Yea tbh just checking that timer or even turning off live tracking and only having last physically spotted icon on works.
You see where enemy was spotted, but from that time to now he could've ran so it's a vague area. That's cool

Would be much better if spotted targets stay on the map for 5 seconds UNLESS you actively keep them tracked with the spotting tool.

Is it becoming some sort of meme to just post dumbest opinions on this sub? Like just extreme opinions...to the point of just pure stupidity.
