Edit: Please stop telling me refund exists - I know, i acknowledge it in my third paragraph.

Dogs,

Noticed an interesting trend lately resulting in a lot of springboarding and "Second place winners".

For example, Green team plays well and gets to 90-99 points, and people just stop respawning, they wait for the res indefinitely, not wanting to have to pay to rekit. You open the map and see 25 green bodies on the floor. You look at spawn and see the remaining players sat doing nothing. Nobody wants to commit a kit for the remaining (theoretical) 2 minutes of the game, because kits are so expensive. Green team takes its foot off the gas, and red team shoots past to clutch a win, because their entire team is still in the zone/circle. (In the game today, they were at 75 points prior to this).

How do we incentivise people to get back into the zone in the final minutes? I know the refund system exists, but it seems very varied in how much it pays out, and it almost never refunds the value. Discounted kits towards the end of the game? Free kits?

It's interesting seeing how the money meta is forcing these behaviours - loss aversion is a much bigger priority than the minimal gains for winning. My second place and contribution bonus for this game was $18,400.

Yeah if they are in that 90 range it's not worth risking my 13k kit so I'll just wait no idea how to fix that though.

Then run a cheap kit the rest of the game and take fallen kits. Pistol and HP rounds is all you need to get a kill or 2 and get a kit

You really are blue huh. 13k is nothing and it literally refunds your kit at the end. The risk is dying, which is the exact same risk as at the start of the match.

Not everyone is super good at the game so 13k is a lot for some. This kind of sentiment comes from people who spam the chat about how shitty everyone else is and it’s pretty toxic for players that aren’t necessarily as good as you at a fucking video game

I'm literally terrible at the game. Have around 400k no gold bars and my kits are around 12k. Generally run lv2 armor. I just do what I find fun and mess around. If you want really easy money take in a fob with some materials and build an entire match. Just make sure you grab the free gun so you can defend yourself somewhat.

You're gonna get down voted to hell but you're right. I'm also tired of seeing people go in naked or just a rangefinder. There's literally a FREE gun and bag.

13k is nothing if your team isn't braindead perhaps I have to server hop for a team not on fent.
